This was my partner’s first-ever jet ski experience, so we rode cautiously — as any responsible operator should expect. Instead of managing the group safely, we were left completely out of sight of the guide and the rest of the group multiple times. On a guided jet ski tour, losing visual contact with participants is a serious safety failure. If I hadn’t been an experienced jet skier who knows the water, this would have been genuinely unnerving. For a beginner, it’s unacceptable. To make it worse, after another rider complained we were “too slow,” we were deliberately pushed to the back — effectively punished for prioritising safety over speed. Separating riders and allowing beginners to fall behind is reckless, not customer service. The guide clearly has strong knowledge of the local area, which makes the lack of basic group control even more frustrating. Knowing the terrain means nothing if you can’t manage your riders safely. This tour prioritised keeping faster riders happy over maintaining safety and duty of care. Until that changes, I would not recommend this experience to first-time riders — or anyone who expects a guided tour to actually be guided.
