The original tour was canceled and replaced with a tour to the Taean Tulip Festival and Sudoeska - a Buddhist monastery and religious site. The festival, held at the Korea Flower Park, was wonderful. There were many acres of tulips, lupine, and other flowers and plants. The grounds had several options for food and a vendor’s fair. The park is situated on the sea and has a beach. Sudoeska is not a good place for the disabled or anyone who has difficulty walking and who is visiting in a tour van or bus. It is built on a hill and our van was not allowed to drive up to a higher level where most of the buildings were located. Our driver tried his best to get permission to drive up further - but it wasn’t allowed. So, my wife who is disabled, could not see most of the sites. The driver was very polite and friendly.

Our guide was very kind respectful of the schedules and above all speaking English, he spoke very good French. The visit to the temple under the cherry trees was beautiful and we were also able to get into costume from Joseon's time to visit Jeonju Palace.
