Skiathos Dog Shelter

In the midst of the lush hills on the island of Skiathos a group of volunteers have created a haven for stray dogs that are looking for their forever homes. To give the dogs a safe place and a location, that would provide both cool winds during hot summer days, privacy and calmness in the evenings. The local monastery (Evangelistria), has offered a piece of land out of town the Islands Landfill site.

Well organized and a great way to help the local shelter pups. The staff are so dedicated and truly love all of the dogs. The cooking class by Maria was so much fun and the food was delicious. A really lovely way to spend a few hours in Skiathos.

Although it says hike it is about 30 minute walk. Well worth doing, Sarah and team are doing an amazing job.
