Malahat Skywalk
Immerse yourself in pristine nature: a steep, forested mountain, high above the Salish Sea. Ascend the spiral ramp to peak adventure. At 250 m above sea level, the tower offers some of the best views on Vancouver Island, including a sweeping panorama of Mt. Baker, Finlayson Arm, the Saanich Peninsula, and islands in two countries. Explore the West Coast from a whole new perspective and then choose your descent with a return walk down the ramp or take the fast route on our Spiral Slide. The arbutus, or Pacific madrone, appears wonderfully exotic with its smooth chartreuse wood covered by reddish, papery bark. It grows on rocky coastlines and, in spring, bears white flowers that smell like honey. In autumn, red berries help feed many of the local birds and wildlife. Coming down from the tower on the 20 metre spiral slide might be the only thing as awesome as the view from the top. Go ahead, take as many turns as you like – we’ll understand.

Great experience. Lovely stroll to the top great views and the slide was so fun! We went up twice to get to ride the slide down again. Then we sat and had a nice lunch by the fire.

1. Eat before or picnic. Food choices extremely limited and expensive! 2. Misled about glass walkway-supposedly arriving spring 2026-doesn't look like construction has broken ground yet. 3. Trail coming back from tower isn't clearly marked. It is easy to mistake a service road for the trail because there is no "staff only" signs coming from the tower back to the lot. 4. The advertising makes it look like there's a trampoline at the top of the tower. There isn't and you need to prepare young kids that the net at the top is a walkway not a trampoline. 😡☹️. 5. Overall this is a beautiful attraction with lots of things to do for kids of all ages. Definitely worth the drive and you can easily spend 2-4 hours there. The slide in the middle is amazing! Staff is super friendly. Gorgeous views.

The walk on the "net" part is very scary but I was able to do it with the help of my boys (husband and son). Visitors should also try the slide going down. It was so much fun! I would love to go back and do the slide with my son one more time but going back up takes a lot of walking. Not that I'm too lazy to do it but because we had another itinerary to be at during that time. Overall, I highly recommend this to all who loves to try new things and to those people seeking for thrill. One of the must visits in Victoria, BC.

Very nice experience at the skywalk. It was a cold day with low visibility and on/off rain when we arrived. Staff were very friendly in spite of the conditions. After gettong to top and sliding down the slide we had some hot chocolate/coffee which warmed us up. Then at the perfect time the sun popped out and opened up the view. We decided to walk to the top again which now had opened up the beautiful view with the dispersed clouds. Definitely worth your time to get there even with cold conditions.

This is a great place to spend the day. There is so much more than just the tower. Walking trails have been designed with the kids in mind. We especially liked the interactive games/puzzles along the path. The entire place was spotless, staff were friendly and very approachable. Overall a great place for the family.

Beautiful views and the structure itself was amazing! It was quite cold though so the slide didn’t slide….you had to push yourself through the whole way. Visited with my husband and my mom in her 70’s.

Even on a foggy, rainy day it is worth it if you approach it in a spirit of adventure and curiosity. We are 60+ and we did the slide. I am from the PNW and even I learned something about alders on Luke's Trail. Everybody who worked there was friendly and welcoming and even though there had been a wind storm the night before everything was cleaned up and open.

Walking to the tower on a treetop boardwalk was a fascinating approach. The walk up the tower was gentle and scenic. It was a misty day and views were slightly obscured but that didn’t stop us enjoying the beautiful outlook, actually added an ethereal feel. The nature walk back to the start was also interesting and, like children, we had to hunt for, and found, all the animals!
