Malmo Radhus
The biggest square in Malmo is called Stortorget, which appropriately means Big Square. Behind Stortorget is Lilletorget, or Little Square, where you can find a selection of Malmo's most popular restaurants. The square has a Parisian feel to it, as many of the restaurants have tables outside, where you can sit and watch the world pass by. There are also some historic buildings on Lilletorget, and a vintage telephone box. On the north west side of Stortorget is Sodergatan, Malmo's main shopping street and pedestrian walkway. It’s where you can find the department store, Ahlens and many quality clothing shops. Also check out the Hansa shopping center, located in Stora Nygatan. It’s at the far end of Sodergatan, where you turn left into Stora Nygatan. The Turning Torso is the tallest building in Scandinavia at 190 meters or 623ft. (Read more: It was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and opened on the 27th of August 2005. There are 147 apartments in the tower, which covers 54 floors. The Turning Torso is based on a sculpture by Santiago Calatrava, and it is built in the architectural Neo-Futurism style. It is, however, not possible to enter the Turning Torso. Malmohuset is one of the oldest buildings in Malmo. The present Malmohus was built in the 1530s, and between 1568 and 1573 was home to James Hepburn, the 3rd husband of Mary Queen of Scots, who was held prisoner there. (Read more: Malmo Art Museum and Malmo Natural history museum are located at Malmohuset. Malmo Art Museum houses a collection of 20th century works, including works by the Swedish landscape painter, Carl Frederik Hill. There's also an exhibition of furniture from the 16th century to the present day. The entrance fee to Malmohuset is not included in your tour ticket.
Lund Cathedral
Lund You can visit Lund Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1145, although there has been a cathedral on this site since the 1080s. The astronomical clock was installed around 1424. The towers of Lund Cathedral stand 55 meters or 177ft tall, and when the cathedral was built, they could be seen from anywhere in the surrounding countryside. The oldest of the bells dates back to 1513. The cathedral has five organs, the largest of which was built between 1932 and 1934 by the Danish company, 'Marcussen & Søn'. In 2016 Pope Francis visited the Cathedral to mark the 499th anniversary of the Reformation. This option is included in your excursion ticket. You can also see Lund University, which traces its roots back to 1425, when Franciscan monks established the Studium Generale, near Lund Cathedral. Lund University was founded on the same site in 1666, making this the oldest site of higher education in Scandinavia. Beside the University is the lovely Lundagård Park. In Lundagård you can find the Lund University Historical Museum. The cost of the entrance fee to this museum is not included in your excursion ticket. Behind Lundagård is Kulturen, Sweden's second oldest open air museum. In Kulturen are 30 old buildings from previous centuries. At Sankt Annegatan 9, there's a shop which is stocked as it would have been 100 years ago. Some of Kulturen's buildings have been moved here from other sites in Sweden, while others are on the same site where they were originally built. Kulturen opened in 1892. There are buildings, or the remains of buildings from the Middle Ages to the 1930s. The entrance fee for this museum is not included in your tour ticket. Lund is a great place to have lunch, as there are lots of little restaurants serving tasty food, and many have special offers at lunchtime, or fixed-price menus. A good place to go, with a large selection of places to eat is Martens Torget. There you can find Saluhallen, which was built in 1909 and is an indoor market containing a wide variety of restaurants and cafes, including Italian, Persian and Japanese food. If you fancy something simpler, try the Swedish coffee house chain Expresso House, which started in Lund in 1996. They have some very nice pastries. If you fancy some cholesterol, go to another great Swedish chain - Max. They sell tasty fast food burgers and were founded in Sweden in 1968. Most places in Sweden take card payment, but it might be a good idea to get yourself around 200 Swedish Kronor in cash, just in case.

We were actually booked on a different tour but due to staff ill health they upgraded us at no extra cost to ourselves, they made contact with us to ensure we were happy with these arrangements. Luckily for us Steen was our guide for the 9 hour excursion , he wanted everyone happy and went out of his way to ensure this . The coach had automatic commentary in all languages .Steen filled any quiet moments with his own personal information on his Life experiences and local information that the recorded voice didn’t tell us. His 27 years teaching made him perfect for this. We were armed with plenty of information prior to our stops ,he pointed out highlights we shouldn’t miss explained which was the best bathroom facilities to use where had the nicest coffee and pastries. His impeccable driving skills got us to the best view point to capture amazing photos of the Øresund Bridge just as the sun going down , with amazing light any sooner we all would have been squinting.

The day was very cold but Mario was a great guide! He accompanied us throughout the day telling us the story of each country we would visit and the most recent curiosities. It was fun and the hours flew by!

The tour was terrible. Our tour guide, or more accurately called driver, Steen, was a dangerous driver. He was texting, talking on the phone and handheld microphone while driving. He drove way too fast and when we entered the town of Lund, there were little children on the sidewalk and an adult with them yelled at him to slow down with a hand gesture. He went over a dip in the road so fast that the bus bottomed out on the street ( you might want to check the under carriage of the bus). Then there was the commentary. The microphone kept going in and out and Steen just kept talking unless we told him repeatedly that it was not working. The four of us sat in the front and we could barely hear him. He talked way too fast and over the audio portion that was playing on the earbuds. When we reached Malow, Steen repeatedly made sexist comments that all the men cared about was the history, and all the women cared about was shopping. Does he not realize how petty that makes women sound? I only gave the tour 2 stars because they did accommodate the four of us by letting us bring our luggage with us to be dropped off at our hotel in Lund. Even then, Steen was going to make us walk to the hotel with our luggage instead of dropping us off. Our hotel was only a few blocks away and he had over an hour to kill. I would not recommend this tour.

My husband and I took the Malmö & Lund Tour, Crossing the Øresund Bridge to Sweden on Wednesday, February 28th, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We would absolutely recommend it. From the start, everything felt welcoming and well organized. Our driver greeted us warmly, offered bottled water, and provided brochures for each stop. He drove smoothly throughout the day — I felt completely at ease the entire time. The coach itself was clean and comfortable, and the audio system was clear and easy to use. Our tour guide — a delightful English gentleman who has lived in Denmark for more than twenty years — was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and generous with his time. Whether sharing historical context during the drive or answering one-on-one questions at the stops, he made the experience both informative and personal. His recommendations and insights added depth to each location. The itinerary was thoughtfully paced, with the right amount of time at each stop, including plenty of opportunities for photos. It felt like an excellent value for the experience provided. To top it off, in our post-tour travel fog we accidentally left two items on the bus. Our driver and guide went above and beyond by returning to the pickup location to bring them back to us. We were so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. An outstanding tour with an outstanding team — highly recommended.

Brilliant day out to Sweden with Andy the tour guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and punctual. Really enjoyed this trip even though it was absolutely freezing! Highly recommended - perfect day out if you’re only in Copenhagen for a short time.

We went in Feb 2026, the coldest winter in Denmark for 17 years. There was snow all around. Our guide Mario was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and kept us all engaged for the entirety of the tour. It is not a very long tour, as Malmo and Lund are both within 100 km of Copenhagen on very good roads. We had ample time to explore both historic towns, get a bite to eat, and still be in time for a view of the bridge from Sweden! A great experience overall, would recommend.
