Manchester City Centre heritage and sightseeing tour Famous for it’s rich history, industrial heritage, the Madchester music scene, football tradition and now the Miles with Mike Taxi Tour! Tours are a minimum of Two Hours in duration with the option to add on trips to the famous football stadiums of Manchester City and Manchester United, or Media City - home of the BBC and ITV. All tours start and end from a Central Manchester location of your choice. Subject to your own mobility, we vacate the vehicle approximately 6 times during the tour for a short walk to locations and for photo opportunities. If you’d like a shorter or longer experience, a different start or end point, or to add in

5.00My husband and I spent this morning with Mike touring Manchester. He was absolutely wonderful! He showed us the highlights of the city along with lot the history. He was a walking book of knowledge about this beautiful city and its history. I would highly recommend that if you are in Manchester, take his tour. You will love it!

5.00My husband and I arrived in Manchester Piccadilly Station by train from a week in Edinburgh. The next day we had the pleasure of meeting Mike Daniels and had our first personal encounter with Manchester Taxi Tours. Later our son-in-law flew in from the USA and joined us in Manchester. Mike's black cab became our second home! Several months earlier, I'd reached out to Mike with a list of places near Manchester that after doing genealogy research I'd found where my husband's father's family had been born, married or died that we might like to visit. Mike realistically helped me plan three day trips, as well as a Manchester city tour and trip to Manchester City Stadium (our grandson in New Jersey's a big fan) in Ardwick and to Levenshulme two places on my list of family places to see. Our first day we drove to the seaside to Lytham St Anne's and Blackpool. Another day Mike drove us to Ashford-in-the-Water and Bradwell, two family places on my list, with visits to Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House in the scenic Peaks Natinal Park area. Mike found us a delightful Aisseford Tea Shop in Ashford for scones and the local famous Bakewell tarts. I would like to point out that Mike's Manchester city tour is outstanding and we learned so much about the city's port history and diversity. We viewed the system of canals the city is built on. Although we'd planned to take the train from Manchester to Liverpool we instead asked Mike if his schedule allowed could he drive us and we are glad we did. His cab, as in hackney carriages accommodated our luggage up front. Mike was most gracious, charming and professional and his cab was comfortable and clean. Both my husband and I are in our 80's and I do need to use a cane and Mike was always there to offer assistance. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mike Daniels' services if you are in need of a car and driver in Manchester and greater Manchester. You will not be disappointed.

5.00What an amazing tour, Mike was a great guide, knowledgeable and funny. I have lived in Gretaer Manchester for 57 years and never seen the hidden places, gems and amazing sights before. Access to these places all in the comfort a London Black Cab, get to places people never really see.

If you are in Manchester, this is the perfect tour. For us, it was a fantastic solution for our very long layover at Manchester airport. I contacted Mike through Viator ahead of time and for a reasonable additional amount, he met us in the arrivals hall at the airport in the morning with a sign. Then we went on his wonderful tour learning the history and seeing the sights of Manchester. We hopped out of the cab at several spots for a better look and pictures. We had extra time before our next flight, so Mike dropped us at an historic pub for delicious beef short rib pie for me and fish & chips for my husband. Mike picked us up again and on the way back to the airport stopped to show us the Manchester United Football Stadium. A fantastic day, thanks Mike!
