The Pranburi Forest Park is known for its vast and dense forests of mangroves and twisty trails that lead visitors to all corners of the park. With its pristine views and natural beauty, Pranburi Park is the perfect escape from some of the urban centers in southern Thailand.
The nature reserve is an excellent day excursion from the Hua Hin area. Not only will the tranquil and majestic scenery surround you, but you’ll also get to see an abundant array of flora and wildlife, many of which are exclusive to Thailand.
Khao Daeng viewpoint at 157 meters peak accessible by a trail around seven hundred meters from the headquarters. This viewpoint has an impressive 360° view over the surrounding valley and mountains. Long-tailed macaques and birds are common in the area. During June the Viewpoint is closed and we visit Chao Mae Tubtim Thong Shrine a beautiful viewpoint where you can clearly see the Pran Buri River and Pak Nam Pran Village.

The highlight is the approximated 1km boarded walkway through the mangrove forest, which provides a wonderful opportunity to get a view of the inside of the forest itself and try wildlife spotting. The walk is suitable for anyone who can manage 1km, and it looked accessible to buggies - but despite the accessibility, it is peaceful. Part-way round the walk is a raised platform which gives a magnificent view of the forest and surrounding area.

Great day out with our guide Dom . Stroll through the mangrove forest was gentle and informative. The boat trip was fabulous . The scenery was spectacular . The hike to the view point was a great hike but please don’t try and do it in less than supportive hiking boots or good shoes !!! Be sure to apply sunscreen and mosquito deterrent and bring plenty of water ! The viewing area has no platform only uneven rocks. While there is a 360 view from the top we just saw 180 as to see it in full meant standing on rocks and after a tough hike , due to unsuitable footwear and not much water it felt unsafe for us to do it at this point . We were glad to be back on solid ground after it and enjoyed a stop for truly delicious food on our way back ! All in all a great day ! Thank you .🩴

On holiday from the UK, we spent the last week in Hua Hin, and found this trip. We have used Viator several times, and found them to be a very efficient and caring company. On this occasion, I actually booked it the night before, I had an immediate email confirmation of my booking and payment, and by the morning had received our ticket and the guide picked us up at 9.00am the following day. We were delighted that Bom was our guide again (we had him as a guide for Exploring the surrounding area of Hua Hin). He speaks really good English, is a really personable young man, and has a lot of knowledge. It was not a strenuous trip, before visiting the Mangrove Forest, we fed some catfish which was amusing, and then a gentle walk through the mangroves. We drove to the other side of the Park and had a lovely boat trip along the river, followed by lunch. Before heading back we visited the Lotus fields.
