You must bring: Comfortable shoes for hiking, Hat / suntan lotion, small snack, and a bottle of water
For your safety, open shoes are NOT allowed. The terrain of the paths are with stones and they are multiple uphills and downhills
What To Expect
Walk across the Nightingale Valley, vineyards, cross the Kakorema River, then continue our path to the village Manolates through the shaded forest. In Manolates village we make an one hour stop to explore the artists' workshops and enjoy lunch in one of the tavernas (not included in the rate) . Then we continue downhill to the picturesque area of Platanakia, the biggest plane-tree forest of the island to meet the bus for the way back to the hotels.

4.00We didn’t hike but drove was a lovely village with a good taverna at the very top .There are shops selling crafts hand made jewellery wooden gifts wines and more The taverna sold wine from the wooden Cask not bottles very delicious lots of cats in Samos
