We have a new appreciation for the history of this ancient city thanks to the incredible knowledge of our guide: Marteen Lane! From the stories of the 14 tribes, to the Lynch Castle, to Kings Head Inn and finally the Spanish Gate, Marteen enriched us with tales that brought these landmarks to life! Her passion for the history of Galway was clearly evident throughout the walking tour. We met her as a guide and left her as a friend. We highly recommend this tour!

Martine was fantastic! We never would have found these fascinating sites on our own. Nor would we have been able to learn so much about history, archaeology, and Galway. She was crisp, clear, friendly, and full of knowledge and insight. We had many questions and she was able to answer each of them. In depth. The tour went 45 minutes over the alotted time to our delight. We cannot recommend this tour, given by Martine, enough. The highlight of our Galway visit.

Went out with an umbrella under an Irish rain treat. Warm welcome that made the inconvenience immediately forgotten. Small company and therefore plenty of time to ask questions and get answers. Marteen was very friendly and knowledgeable; among other things, my linguistic interest was satisfied with many facts about old Irish. The tour was not long but varied. You end up in the most beautiful place in Galway.

Marteen was very well-informed and answered all my questions as we walked around to little nooks and crannies of Galway that I definitely wouldn't have noticed or visited had she not led me to them and told me their history!
