Take a relaxing horse trail ride through one of the most beautiful and largest urban parks in the USA. At a size of 4,500 acres this area covers more than five times the area of Central Park in New York City. While riding the horse trails with your trail guide, you'll have the opportunity to see deer, ducks, cranes and other wildlife. The horses are well-trained and can handle riders with all levels of experience.
Choose from morning or afternoon departures. All riders must weigh less than 240 lbs

What To Expect
You don’t have to retreat to the country to live your cowboy or cowgirl adventure: this 4,500 urban oasis is right in the middle of Memphis. Saddle up and explore the trails inside this sprawling city park, which is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, ducks, cranes, and more. Horses are well-trained and accustomed to riders of all experience levels.

5.00Went on a 1 hour trail ride with Tina and Beth & they both were amazing, very helpful and made me feel safe being that it was a new experience for me ! Daniel & Sherri assisted being helpful as well !! I rode Black Jac and he was very gentle making the ride everything I imagined !!! Shelby Farm stables amazing staff and smooth ride through nature wrapped up a great birthday weekend for me in Memphis TN ❤️❤️❤️

5.00I had a wonderful experience with Shelby Farms Stables on their one-hour horseback trail ride. The staff was efficient and did a great job matching each rider with the right horse, whether beginner or experienced. The horses were clearly well cared for, friendly, and easy to ride, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The trail itself was scenic and peaceful—we even spotted several deer and a variety of birds along the way. I hadn’t been on a horse in many years, but the guides made everyone feel comfortable and confident. It was a relaxing and memorable ride, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

5.00Had a really great time on the trail ride. Our guides, Crystal and Tina, provided a lot of interesting info about each of the horses on the ride. We always felt safe and really enjoyed our time.

5.00Visited from the UK, had an amazing ride, felt very comfortable & relaxed, a lot better than treks in the UK we have done. Very scenic route through woodlands & pastures, we saw several deer. Our guide Charity told us lots of information about the horses & area too during our ride. Absolutely loved it ❤️

5.00This is an Absolute 💯 Great experience!!!! Charity was our guide and she was a Very Special Young Lady!!!! Not only polite and courteous, she was also very knowledgeable!! I would recommend this experience to everyone who has an interest in horses 🐴!!!! Definitely a 10/10. The retired teacher (I apologize for not getting her name) is also a perfect example of you are never too “old” to get into horses!!! She was also a super lady!!!!

5.00We had a fantastic time, as first time riders our guides (Sarah and Shari, with her horse black jack) were so helpful and friendly! They pointed out deer, gave riding hints and information about our horses as we rode, it was a wonderful time!
