Take a relaxing horse trail ride through one of the most beautiful and largest urban parks in the USA. At a size of 4,500 acres this area covers more than five times the area of Central Park in New York City. While riding the horse trails with your trail guide, you'll have the opportunity to see deer, ducks, cranes and other wildlife. The horses are well-trained and can handle riders with all levels of experience.
Choose from morning or afternoon departures. All riders must weigh less than 240 lbs

What To Expect
You don’t have to retreat to the country to live your cowboy or cowgirl adventure: this 4,500 urban oasis is right in the middle of Memphis. Saddle up and explore the trails inside this sprawling city park, which is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, ducks, cranes, and more. 5.00Had a really great time on the trail ride. Our guides, Crystal and Tina, provided a lot of interesting info about each of the horses on the ride. We always felt safe and really enjoyed our time.

5.00Visited from the UK, had an amazing ride, felt very comfortable & relaxed, a lot better than treks in the UK we have done. Very scenic route through woodlands & pastures, we saw several deer. Our guide Charity told us lots of information about the horses & area too during our ride. Absolutely loved it ❤️

5.00This is an Absolute 💯 Great experience!!!! Charity was our guide and she was a Very Special Young Lady!!!! Not only polite and courteous, she was also very knowledgeable!! I would recommend this experience to everyone who has an interest in horses 🐴!!!! Definitely a 10/10. The retired teacher (I apologize for not getting her name) is also a perfect example of you are never too “old” to get into horses!!! She was also a super lady!!!!

5.00We had a fantastic time, as first time riders our guides (Sarah and Shari, with her horse black jack) were so helpful and friendly! They pointed out deer, gave riding hints and information about our horses as we rode, it was a wonderful time!

5.00My daughter and I did a 30min trail ride with Krystal and we had a wonderful experience! Krystal was a wonderful leader to shared so much of her knowledge of the horses, as well as the history of the horses at Shelby Farms. We were fortunate to have wonderful weather and had an absolutely wonderful afternoon. Thank you to Krystal, the horses (Joe and Taz!), and all of the barn staff who were warm, welcoming, and friendly!

5.00What an experience, absoultley amazing. The staff are all fantasic, epsecially Claire, our guide, who was fabulous. Beautiful horses, very well cared for and a plaesure to ride. My daughter got to ride western saddle for the first time and loved the experience (from the UK so we don't have those type of saddles). The scenery of the ride is stunning, we got to see deer. This is a must do for any horse fan.

5.00My granddaughter and I went on a 1 hour trail ride with Jess as our guide and we had a lovely time. My horse, Jamison, was an excellent ride. The scenery & the talk that Jess shared with us was really enjoyable. Everybody was very helpful. It was something I look forward to doing again, with even more family. Thank you Shelby Farm Stables for a fine afternoon!

5.00We had a great trail ride with Sarah! We were pleasantly surprised with how peaceful and beutiful our ride was. We did not feel like we were in Memphis at all! Saw lots of deer on our ride in the woods. The horses they chose for us were great. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend.
