Discover a totally different face of Xochimilco, away from the tourist bustle and focused on natural beauty, the tranquility of the sunrise and respect for the environment. This is not the traditional Xochimilco of the trajineras; it is an intimate, ecological and sensory experience that connects you with the ancestral essence of these millennial channels
On this exclusive tour you will sail in traditional cayucos, kayak-like vessels, but larger and more comfortable, guided by expert rowers. You just relax and enjoy: you don’t have to paddle. We travel through narrow, little-traveled canals, inaccessible to common trajineras, where nature is at its purest.
You will see the sunrise reflecting off the water, surrounded by birds, akhotes, and stunning flora. This is a silent, intimate and perfect experience for those who seek something authentic, photogenic and deeply connected to the lake ecosystem.

Great experience from pickup to tour to breakfast to drop off. All guides spoke English very well. Favorite part of tour was riding out to the islands in the morning mist.

The tour is unique, getting to Xochimilco before crowds and having breakfast at a traditional farm and learning about agriculture and local ecosystems

If you want to see Xochimilco, but aren't interested in the party-boat experience, this is a terrific alternative. We went mid-week in the middle of December, and it ended up being a private tour. My wife and I and the tour guide / rower. This is a great way to learn about the 1,000-year history of Xochimilco, how they were constructed, how they are maintained, and the ecology. If you are a birdwatcher, this is an excellent tour also.

This tour exceeded our expectations by a lot. Our guide, Marcos was a great naturalist and has the gift of conveying information about the local wildlife, the history of Xocomilco and the ancient farming practices. We enjoyed a delicious meal and saw many local and migrating bird species on the trip back to their base. We also watched the sun rise between two volcanos. Nothing short of spectacular!

Very unique experience and worth waking up early to experience the area’s natural beauty, wildlife, and, of course, sunrise. Driver was kind and made good conversation (Spanish only) and our guide was super knowledgeable of the area’s history, biology, and conservation efforts (English/Spanish). Breakfast was made fresh using the produce they grow and harvest. The snacks they offered (cookies, chips, etc) were also produced using local products. Everything was simple but delicious. We will definitely come back and recommend it to friends/family.

Pepe is the tough one! Barbara's the tough one too! Excellent service! Recommended! We come back pq we come back! The most brutal thing was the closeness to the pyramid and the professionalism of the pilot!

A very quiet and educational experience. We had five others in our group. This tour included round trip transportation from our hotel. Other tours do not so pay attention to that when comparing.

Amazing, beautiful, educational, and delicious! We were driven by the kindest driver to our start. Greeted by a Friendly and Brilliant biologist who was our guide thru the waters of Xochimilco. The gardens were full of beauty, and the sumptuous breakfast was created from this bounty!
