4.00We booked this flight last minute, and the team was incredibly accommodating in getting us two seats on short notice. We only did one leg of the flight, they picked us up at Milford Sounds and took us back to Queenstown. The flight itself was beautiful and exactly the right length of time we were hoping for. Our pilot, Andrew, was fantastic. He was friendly, professional, and made the experience even more enjoyable. One thing worth noting for future travelers is pricing. We paid NZD $550 for the one-way flight, while the full round-trip scenic flight is NZD $600. The cost felt quite high for a shortened experience and wasn’t communicated upfront that we would be charged for basically the round-trip scenic flight but instead we found out after we landed. So I’d recommend confirming pricing in advance if you’re not doing the full route.

5.00Awesome! Breathtaking! Our pilot Michael was very good, knew every nook and corner of the area. He navigated the plane very close to glaciers, mountain peaks and it was exhilarating! A must do activity for anyone visiting Milford Sound.

5.00I spontaneously took a scenic flight back from Milford Sound after getting there by coach and enjoying the cruise. I unfortunately had a migraine and was feeling ill from the coach ride (I get motion sickness very easily). I have absolutely no regrets spending money on the scenic flight back, it was truly once in a lifetime and spectacular! Luke and Jason did a wonderful job flying us over the glaciers. The Cessna plane was very comfortable. Before flying, I was a bit worried the flight might be bumpy given how small the plane is, but I was very quickly reassured. The flight was incredibly smooth from take off to landing, very comfortable, and it was overall an amazing experience. I highly recommend for anyone who is considering doing this - it's actually worth it!

5.00Absolutely amazing! There was a tsunami warning today and the pilot’s patiently waited hoping to get us out on the boat. They gave us updates and instructed us to walk for the views. This company was one of two boats that went out this afternoon, all the other bigger company had returned everyone back to Queenstown without hesitation. True South definitely has your back and makes sure that you have an unforgettable time and the service from both the reception and pilot show it! Not to forget the staff on board were sensational at explaining the fjord. Truly love the experience from True South! Will definitely be booking other tours with them in the future and recommending to friends and family!!!

5.00We took the flight from Milford sound back to Queenstown. It was a spectacular experience. The weather was great, so we had beautiful views. Our pilot, Luke, did a wonderful job flying the plane and narrating. I usually don't like flying, but I felt safe and relaxed the entire time. Thanks, Luke, for a great experience.

5.00Highly recommend True South for the Milford Sound flight. We were scheduled for a boat cruise as well but because of weather coming in, we couldn’t do the boat part. True South was very proactive and responsive in helping us with alternative options and we ultimately decided to do the flyover rather than cancel the whole trip. Liam was our pilot and was great! Very friendly, helped to calm those of us scared to fly and reassured us that all was safe. He explained there would be turbulence and what the flight would feel like so I appreciated that. The views were stunning and Liam explained everything and really made the trip worth it! One of the highlights of my trip. If it is not possible to land for the boat trip but the flight is still available, do it as the flyover views were incredible. Thank you True South!!
