We had a wonderful time on our tour, the company messaged us the night before as the elephants had moved to Hurulu park (which was also cheaper!). Our driver was safe but also tried to make sure we saw as many elephants as possible and was happy to take pictures for us. We were provided with water and were also taken to a viewpoint within the park Would recommend to book with these guys.

Absolutely incredible experience, do not skip it whatever you do!! We had booked Minneriya but the company recommended we move to Dambula instead as the herds had migrated. I was in disbelief at how many elephants we saw!! I really went hoping to see a handful and we couldn’t believe our eyes at times as there were gatherings of 60+ visible. The park itself was also beautiful. Our driver was excellent and navigated some of the muddier terrain excellently and even helped another driver who had got stuck in the mud. He was also amazing at spotting wildlife in addition to the elephants, pointing out grey langurs, peacocks, foxes, turtles to name a few! Thank you so much for this experience!

Booked online for 230, received text from company recommending we go at 1230 as less traffic in park and we agreed, got picked up from resort and driven to park saw all wildlife and got up close with elephants was a great experience got great videos, tour guide was great and was able to answer any questions on elephants we had. When leaving park was a lot of traffic entering so advice to go earlier was great

A fair representation of our experience - the driver arrived promptly to our hotel and was polite and friendly. He gave us free water and explained the day. We arrived at Minneriya national park and we were instructed to pay the entrance fee. Confused I explained I had paid online and that it details online you only need pay entrance to Hurulu Eco Park not Minneriya. He explained you needed to pay for all parks no matter the option you select. Frustrated we paid the 22,000 rupees needed and proceeded with the tour - luckily I had ID on me whilst making the payment. The driver was informative and took time to explain each aspect of wildlife with interesting facts. We then began the search for elephants. At this point due to rain we got bogged down and stuck. The driver repeatedly tried to get out, yet in the process sprayed myself and my partner with mud and water from the tyres leaving us and the seats of the jeep filthy - we were the only people this happened to, all other jeeps navigated the park fine. We then found elephants and it was amazing. Our driver got us up close whilst not disturbing the animals and allowing for breathtaking views. On the ride back we got bogged down once again and covered in more mud, with the driver vacating the vehicle allowing a driver from another operator to get us out the bog. On the way back to the hotel he purchased us some watermelon and apologised for the experience. Awesome to see the elephants, with a kind driver, yet we were filthy and tired by the end, in addition to an unexpected entrance fee which could be made clearer on the listing.

Thank you Shan for this day! We were an hour late because of our pigeon taxi in Sigirya. Shan kindly waited for us at our Guest House. On the way he tells us that we will not go to Minneriya but to another park that this one is full! I said to him, after everything I've read about him, "We trust you, we want you, go!" It was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives: alone in this park (we only met 4x4) elephants aplenty! We counted a good sixty! Including a troop of 30 elephants. At no time was he intrusive with them, very respectful and very patient, he never pressured us, we had all the time to take pictures. He took the time to explain the animals we met. Really, it's someone this Shan! He deserves his reputation! Thank you Shan!

Amazing safari, we saw so many elephants and elephant babies! They come quite close and are very comfortable with the jeeps. Our driver was kind, prompt and really knowledgable about the elephants. We also saw some peacocks, water bufffalo and native birds. We had booked to do minneriya but due to recent rain our guide suggested we go to Hurulu eco park where the elephants had migrated and I could not have been happier we did. There were only a few other safari jeeps in the park, it felt very intimate which was perfect for us
