Step into the world of Monet and explore the beautiful village where he lived for 43 years. Giverny is the home of many modern-day Impressionist artists who have set up their own small galleries, such as Claude Cambour, Florence Ramier and Christophe Demarez, all of whom are located on the same road as the Claude Monet Foundation.

The guide and private car was a great way for us to travel to Giverny. Being in our seventies and being hearing impaired it was great to have the extra TLC. Our guide, Doru, was helpful knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Many historical details about Monet and the other Impressionist artists.

The private tour we took last week with Come and Go was absolutely fabulous! The guide, the driver and car, the photographer were all so professional and yet warm and kind at the same time. They arrived early and we were ready so we got there ahead of schedule. We chose this private way of traveling because we are hearing impaired. The guide sat across from us in the van and we could hear and understand everything perfectly. Not only did he tell us many fascinating details about Monet and the Impressionist painters, he also talked about French culture and history in general. I plan to return to Paris with extended family in the spring and I would definitely want to tour with them again. Thank you so very much for this wonderful experience!

Our visit to Giverny to see Monet's home and gardens was fabulous. I was concerned that the gardens wouldn't have flowers because it was October...but there were many flowers and the gardens were spectacular. The home was very enchanting and gave you a wonderful insight into the life of Monet during the time he lived and painted there. But more importantly, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Monet and the lower Normandy area. He definitely made the tour extremely informative and comfortable. He spoke English very well and was very professional. I highly recommend Doru to be the tour guide.

Was hesitant about grabbing train out to here but once arrived found it a pleasant experience with lots to see and read. Gardens are very well maintained and whole area is clean and tidy. Plenty of parking for all vehicles including the petite train from Vernon. Well stocked gift shop.

Beautiful beyond all expectations. the garden is a riot of colors that fascinates and entices you to turn every corner. Very nice house too. Spectacular photos. To visit without any doubt. Okkio to the police when you cross the country before arriving at the site, you find them lurking ready to punish you. Fastened belts and speeds under 30Km.

Charming, as we expected: the house is beautiful and interesting, but the garden is wonderful and the water lily pond even touching.

These sights far exceeded my expectations! The system with the e-tickets worked excellently and we were already admitted to the house at 9:00, although it actually only opens at 9:30. The gardens are just a dream and also the house is really worth seeing.

The saga starts with terrible signage inside the village (and continued within the garden), it was followed by a long queue to get into the garden, despite having a pre-booked timed entry ticket. Once inside there were so many people it was really unpleasant! If you wanted to stop to look or photograph anything in the garden (or the house) you felt like you were holding up the massive queue of people behind you. It felt like a garden themed queue for the huge air conditioned gift shop! Not the place to discover the surroundings and the nature that inspired Monet. If you love art and/or nature I strongly suggest you visit here in your imagination with the help of a book or the internet and save yourself the heat, the crowds, the money and the disappointment. You’d get more creative inspiration from a botanical garden regardless of its size simply because it would be more peaceful than this themed-theme-park. There was no interpretation about Monet, his work, life or the garden - and even if there was it was would have been too busy to read. To the Monet’s Garden organisation: Yesterday was not a nice experience and I won’t be recommending it anyone. But I do know a very experienced Visitor Experience Consultant (not me!), would you like her contact details?

The gardens are stunning and there are so many places to just stand and enjoy the views from. The experience was slightly marred by the heat which was in the 30s plus the number of visitors, which I guess you would expect in July. The house retained a real sense of the artist and his family and how they lived. There seems to be only one set of loos, not well signposted, which didn't seem enough for so many visitors. Buying tickets on line saved a long queue.
