This tour was simply magical! Emilio, the Guide, and “Hawkeye” Danny, the driver, are a dynamic duo who made sure we had a fantastic day! From the start, the energy was great - two people on the tour were celebrating birthdays, so Emilio got us all singing “Happy birthday” in English and Spanish. Way to bond a group at 7am, lol! On the way to the lake, Danny (the driver), managed to spot a sloth at the tippy top of a tree. He pulled over, they took out their scope, and we all got to see the sloth. That was the only one we saw; I am so grateful they did that for us! The boat ride to see the monkeys was incredible - being on the Panama Canal…wow!! And we saw three different species of monkeys. The walk was nice, the terrain around the road is lush and mysterious. Sadly, no sloths were seen there, but it was still interesting. I have wonderful memories, pictures/videos; I highly recommend this tour.

Great trip. Fun and informative guide. Monkey island did not disappoint! They came right down to the boat. Sloths were being bashful today but did see various birds and iguanas

The tour company Panama a la carte is disorganized & has very poor communication. I booked a tour well in advance & there was no communication after I made the booking. When it came to less than 24 hours prior to the tour I had to chase the company for a pick up time. When I hadn't received a response in normal business hours I cancelled the tour as I was concerned about the legitimacy of the company. I received confirmation of the cancellation but the next morning I was woken by my hotel's front desk advising that a tour guide from Panama a la Carte was looking for me. Obviously the company hadn't even bothered to inform its own staff of the cancellation. I have received no apology from the company regarding the rude awakening & of course no refund.

Sloths are much harder to spot than I imagined, however our guides spotted two and set up telescopes for the rest of us. We saw 3 kinds of monkeys, some just inches away from us. The boat captain got us up close to monkeys on several islands and reasonably close to see some big container ships too. The hike was very easy. Guides were fun and very informative.

Very good and nice experience. We could see 3 different types of monkeys and 1 sloth. They gave us delicious snacks. Recommended.
