Fun for the whole family - a river tubing adventure Jamaican style! Enjoy an approximate 45 min scenic drive to the tubing river where you’ll be given a short safety briefing. Then hop on your inner tube for a fun journey downstream. Glide across mild rapids surrounded by greenery, traveling as the Spanish once did when they arrived in Jamaica hundreds of years ago. Your river guide will entertain you until the end of your journey where the river runs into the Caribbean Sea. You will then be taken to Bamboo Beach Club for some fun in the sun. Relax on a complimentary beach chair and enjoy light entertainment and fun cocktail demonstrations. You'll be treated to a selection of house beverages including rum punch and lemonade. Plus enjoy a 4-course tapas lunch served beachside featuring a menu of jerk chicken, festivals, plantains, banana fritters, and more.

What To Expect
Take a winding journey down gentle rapids of the Rio Bueno river in comfortable inner tubes — a great way to discover the natural beauty of the region! After a safety briefing from your river guide, you will walk across the Irie bridge and along the jungle trail until you reach the launch site. Then you'll slip into the cool water, settle in your inner tube, and wind your way downstream. Relax and take in the gorgeous landscape, admiring what the Spanish first saw centuries ago, and float downstream until the river runs into the blue Caribbean Sea.

1.00We went tubing and the group of strangers that went with us , started smoking cigarettes, our guide said nothing, then that group started smoking weed and again our guide said nothing , I had to tell them to cut that out , we went to the beach club were our guide left us , we didn’t eat until 10 minutes before we left and then we arrived at our ship with only minutes left to spare. Terrible, terrible, terrible

4.00Driver was nice and tubing was great. Very little communication from Beach Club staff about lunch and drinks. We didn’t receive most drinks. Was not told a time to meet to leave and they were searching for missing people. Overall good day, but some improvements would make it perfect day excursion.

5.00It was a fun day! River tubing portion takes around 45 minutes total with 30 of that on the water. Very nice river guides. Short drive away is the Bamboo Beach club. Nice setup with a beach bar and plenty of places to relax. Food was local flavor and very good.

5.00Excellent! Try this trip! Tina (guide) & Tracy (van driver) & Big Ben (tube & raft guide) were all awesome! After a short drive (approx. 30 min) and a history lesson along the way, we arrived at the river. Used the facilities, got fitted w/ a life jacket & helmet. Big Ben (Lagrick) hooked us all together on our innertubes and we floated on down. Stopped and switched tubes for a raft. Most of us were given a paddle, but mostly it was Big Ben & my husband doing the heavy paddling to the shore. After leaving that beach, went to another beach and had a nice lunch and some free rum. Beach was a little rocky so keep water shoes on. Had a few little shops outside of beach. Then we finished our trip at a souvenir store w/ Tina getting a discount for us. All in all 5 stars. Would take this trip again!

4.00We chose this due to the relatively quick drive time which unfortunately doubled due to having to wait for people at the second pick up site- a hotel. The ride was in a comfortable van. I wish our guide, Tee, would’ve provided more info about Jamaica culture & history, but she answered questions. River tubing was amazing. The route had been shortened due to damage from hurricane Melissa but still very enjoyable. Bamboo Beach was underwhelming. Pretty small water area with nothing to see under water and entrance very rocky- wear water shoes. We could only sit in a section with chairs, no loungers. Food was good- jerk chicken, rice, hush puppy, cole slaw & a really delicious dessert. Two different rum drinks & non alcoholic options were included. Tee demonstrated a rum shot that we all got to consume. The group from the hotel were dropped off first and we noticed that none of them tipped, so we tipped the guides/driver double. Due to traffic, we were worried that we wouldn’t make it back to our ship on time, but we did, with time to spare for a little shopping on our way back. I recommend this fun excursion for the balance of adventure & relaxation.

5.00We did this super fun excursion today , everything went seamless and Patricka and Our tubing guide was AMAZING! The lunch they served was delicious as well. They offered massages on the beach that was a nice touch and the lady did a great job. Just book it, you will not be disappointed.

5.00Just did the Bamboo Beach and Tubing excursion in Ochos Rios!! Truly amazing. Karissa was a great tour guide that took great care of us. Kenroy was our guide down the river and was a lot of fun! Our driver George kept us on time and provided great info on the area. Bamboo Beach Club provided a great lunch a relaxing paradise. GET THE MASSAGE on the beach. OMG...WONDERFUL! Definitely a great day in Jamaica.

4.00Had a lovely day out, the river tubing was fun more like a lazy river really but found that doing this ate into our beach time as the other people on the trip not doing tubing went straight to the beach, we got less than a couple of hours on the beach and would have liked to have been there for longer as was a lovely setting. Not crowded and staff kept delivering rum punches and lovely food. Would def recommend but just wished it was a longer day x

5.00It's a good trip. It's a bit of a ride through lots of traffic but they get you there and back safely. The river tubing was fun. The beach club is nice. Pack water shoes. Lunch was good and the drinks were tasty. Overall it was a nice day.
Fun Events Lacked Organization!

3.00Our excursion lacked direction from the start! We did not have specific directions when we got off the ship so we wandered around trying to find someone that could help. We contacted the company and they gave us a meeting point. We were met by a teenage girl who put us on a bus with a driver who wasn’t sure where we were to go and he was detained for parking inside the cruise area. We waited while he got the matter worked out. He then received 10 calls from the Bamboo Beach Club concerning his progress along the route. He was finally instructed to stop at a bus stop to pick up another teenage(appeared to be) girl that helped him find the location. We made it to the river rafting and beach which was a good experience. When I am in a foreign place I would like to feel that I am with people who know exactly what is going on. We were given our food and drink but I would not say that we were well taken care of. They were not gracious hosts at all.
