What To Expect
Salzach River
Experience the nicest side of Salzburg with Tour I. Beginning at the "Marco Feingold Steg" in the centre of the Old City, you cruise past the impressive town scenery, the natural landscape of the Salzach, along to the exclusive residential area in the south of the City, and finally, views of the magnificent Hagen" and "Tennen" mountain range, the northern ridge of the Berchtesgadener Alps - and back, where at the end of your trip the Panoramic speed boat "dances" for its passengers.
Fortress Hohensalzburg
Fortress Funicular ascent & descent (no pick-up at the station) After ascending with the funicular to the Fortress, the Panorama restaurant is located on the right side at the exit. At this unique location you enjoy your dinner with marvelous views to Salzburg City and its surroundings. Dinner Starting times: 6:00 pm January, February, March, April, September, Oktober, November, Dezember 6:30 pm May, June, July, August Individual tables at dinner in the Panorama fortress restaurant! Your table will be allocated according to the number of people booked. In case of fine weather and suitable weather conditions, the VIP dinner is served on the panorama terrace.

Not for the Mobility Challenged

1.00Although the events are fine, there are no transfers included. If you are the least mobility challenged, this is NOT an event for you. It is near impossible to hail a taxi for the transfer from the cruise to the funicular. Once in the fortress, there are stairs down to the dining venue. After dinner, there are MANY levels of stairs to reach the concert venue. Finally, there are no taxis available to return you to your lodging, not even if you leave, as we did, at the concert's intermission. BAD FORM VIATOR!!!!!

5.00Great combined experience- we took the cruise, then had dinner and attended the concert. The VIP booking was amazing - we had a private table for a wonderful dinner (ask about the vegetarian option if you like, was wonderful), and then were seated in the center of the front row for the concert! Amazing quartet and pianist. The fortress was amazing, such a beautiful site for the concert. The sun was setting as the concert began. I will remember this for a long time!

5.00This was a lovely experience. Service on the boat and at the dinner was excellent. We enjoyed the boat doing a few Strauss twirls! Dinner was most excellent in the fortress and the concert was superb - such talent and a good mix of shorter classical pieces set in the most stunning room. We were so glad we got to do this - very memorable and totally worth doing!

2.00People should know about the 300 steep stone steps that have to be traversed to access the concert. For anyone this could be challenging. As an able but older person I found this exgausting. Had I known about the 300 steps I would not have booked this activity.

4.00I think if I was doing this again I would skip the cruise and dinner and just do the concert. The dinner was pleasant but we were hen very tired for the concert. The concert was great.

4.00It was a lovely experience. We booked the VIP boat trip, dinner and concert. The boat trip was fairly short but very nice with drinks and snacks available to buy and commentary in Germany and English. We then had to make our own way up to the fortress where we had a lovely dinner followed by the most magical concert in a candlelit room a the top ofd the fortress with world class musicians. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that thee is a ten minute walk from the boat up the fortress and then from the entrance of the fortress to the concert room is up 300 steps. This needs to be made clearer in the tour description as a couple of our party had real difficult in getting up there and it is just not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

2.00Boat trip is okay. Worth 20 Euro in my view. Dinner was the low point. Great view and surroundings, yes, service also. Food not great. And of course they rip you on the drinks. 13$C for a bottle of water. Bla bla. Feneckular 15 Euro each. However, the concert was a lot of fun. Musicians were very good. Sooo, just do that. Castle and view is ok.

5.00The boat ride was fun and informative The captain explained in English also. Dinner was amazing and the concert was outstanding even though you had to climb numerous stairs to get to the top. Fortress was very interesting.
