Start your tour with a flexible pickup from your hotel in Da Nang or Hoi An.
Your first stop is Le Duc Ha Terra Cotta Workshop near the Thu Bon River. Here you can see local artisans making bricks and terra cotta by hand. You will learn about traditional techniques and how these bricks are similar to those used in ancient temples.
Then travel through the countryside by jeep or car. Enjoy a scenic ride through small villages, rice fields, and quiet rural roads. Along the way you may see farmers working and water buffalo grazing in the fields.
Next, visit My Son Sanctuary, the former religious center of the Champa Kingdom. Walk through the valley to see ancient red-brick temples while your guide explains the history of the site, the temples dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, and the impacts of the Vietnam War.

5.00Wonderful way to see this beautiful historic site, take in the sights and sounds of the beautiful countryside and taste some delicious local cuisine. We also had an unexpected and totally awesome visit to a terracotta workshop which was so interesting. Our guides Ben and Nine were outstanding, knowledgeable, warm and funny as well. Highly recommended trip.

5.00We had a fantastic tour guide that managed to take us to BA Na hills and my Son. Hannah was flexible around our needs as we only had one day to visit both sites, she was able to fast track us through BA Na hills and was very well informed when we visited My Son.

5.00Cannot recommend this tour and our wonderful guide Carol enough. Our family of 5 loved visiting the My son temples with Carol who was so knowledgeable and thoughtful. Driving through the villages and fields, seeing water buffalo and chillies drying on the streets was a highlight of our trip. Thank you Carol!

5.00We had a great tour of My Son with Sunny! he was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area which was wonderful. The pottery stop was really special. 100% recommend over the big tours. The stops before and the beautiful meandering route meant we ended up at My Son at a slightly different time than all the big tour groups so it was far quieter and exactly the kind of excursion we were after.

5.00Authentic Vietnam experience, travelling in the back of a jeep through small villages, farms, rice paddies and up close with the cows and water buffalo. Wonderful guide, Carol, very knowledgeable, and peaceful, serene walk through the My Son Sanctuary. UNESCO cultural heritage site since 1997 well worth a visit.

5.00Had a fantastic time, a world of difference from the usual tour groups. The jeep takes you through villages and along paths across the paddy fields and countryside, off the main tourist tracks. We stopped at a ceramics factory and met the father-and-daughter team running it, which was fascinating (without feeling any pressure to buy anything). Then the trip to the My Son sanctuary, which is just incredible - Thang is a brilliant guide and you spend as much time as you want, where you want to. Finally, you try my quang noodles, a delicious local dish. Really amazing day and worth every dollar.

5.00It was the best tour we have experienced in Hoi An. Thanh was exceptional at giving us background information, answered all our questions and was a pleasure to be with. We were not rushed on the tour or pressured to purchase any goods. Going on a jeep meant you were off the beaten track and saw actual rural Vietnam, stunning!!! So much better than the commercial tourist companies the hotel push on you. We visited the le Duc Ha Terra Cotta workshop, amazing craftsmanship, then drove through villages, rice fields. Followed by the My Son sanctuary, seeing beautiful Hindu Temples and breathtaking views. Followed by a delicious local lunch at Mi Ga My Son. As a foodie I can tell you it's the best chicken noodle soup I have ever had. We were well taken care of and restored our faith in tours as the previous day we did a marble/monkey mountain tour that was commercial, rushed, and used as a ploy to get tourists to buy, buy, buy at a marble shop. Very stressful and unpleasant. I would highly recommend going with Local Buddy Tours, you will not regret it.
