Myrtle Beach
We will briefly stop in Myrtle Beach's new historic district.
Myrtle Beach
We will also stop at Charlie's Place Historic Site where the greatest names in 20th Century American music performed from the 1930s to the 1960s. The club itself, which had been a popular stop on what was known as the "Chitlin' Circuit," is no longer there, but Charlie's home is along with a reconstruction of his motel that was listed in THE GREEN BOOK, a guide for African-American travelers during segregation.

Although the guide knew your information, it felt as if she had memorized it word for word from a script about the area. Much of it dealt with people that most of the people on the trolley had not heard about because it was from a time long ago, and most were retirees. The stopping at locations was very well done because we could related to it right there.

Our tour guide was excellent. She was a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her enthusiasm and excitement for her job made the trip very enjoyable. She was willing to answer questions and kept us guessing with the trivia! We would highly recommend this tour and Katherine! The bus driver was very nice as well! She kept asking if the temperature was good all along the way! We felt very well taken care of! Thanks!

The tour was wonderful and it was easy to see the tour guide loved her city. She was able to give personal history of events that occurred and history of the city. The driver did a great job in getting the group around the area.

My friends and I went on the Movies, Music and History tour today. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it. So much information and history of Myrtle Beach and its impact on the cinematic and music scenes is provided. The trolley is very comfortable and climate controlled. You do get on and off the trolley at two stops and there is some walking involved. But if that can be a challenge for you then you can just remain on the trolley. Well worth it. Book your tour now. 🚃🚃

This was an amazing history tour. It allows you to hear about the evolution of Myrtle Beach and the great things that have happened here. The Tour Guide was full of knowledge and she is a native of the city. The Bus driver is also a wealth of knowledge just from riding around... Loved ever minute of it.

Good tour. But we had signed up for history and was years which was not availble because not enough people. The tour guide did a good job explaining the movie era. But because the original building were gone all we saw were the current businesses
