Very nice trip of almost 4 hours from Nanu Oya to Kandy. We had booked in advance to be sure of a place in 1st class. We were contacted by the representative on site 1 week in advance, by WhatsApp, who sent us our tickets directly. No worries on the train, seats are reserved and no one can settle, a controller ensures it. Definitely a resa in advance with numbered seat is the right idea. Moreover, we do not regret not having made the trip from Ella, almost 8 hours of train would have been too long despite the beauty of the scenery.
