We set sail from the local tourist pier crossing the wide Bay of Ushuaia until we reach the Beagle Channel through Paso Chico.
There we will sail around the Island of the Birds where we will be able to appreciate the Fuegian avifauna. We will observe: Skúas, Black-browed Albatross, Vapor Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls and Gray Gulls. Then, we will approach Isla de los Lobos where we will be able to observe sea lions with one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago.
Arriving at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators), we will be able to see the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rock Cormorants while listening to the story of the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes that he starred in 1930.
We will make a descent in Puerto Karelo, belonging to the Bridges Islands, where you can visit genuine Yámana shell middens. This guided walk lasts approximately 20 minutes and concentrates us on a panoramic point where very good photographs can be taken.

Canal Beagle
We begin sailing from the Tourist Pier of our city, towards the Beagle Canal, enjoying as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia, seeing the most important buildings, Maritime Museum (old prison), Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the mountains Olivia and Cinco Hermanos.
Isla Bridges
We head to the Bridges Islands where we stop and descend. It is important to note that the walk that is made during this visit is not difficult and is available to anyone. In addition to having the experience of walking on a small island in the middle of the Beagle Channel, the goal is to appreciate the following three fundamental attractions: Conchero Yámanas: archaeological remains of the inhabitants of the Beagle Canal. A few meters from the pier are deposits of the settlements of the Yamanas or Yaganes, we will enter one of them and, from the explanations of the guide, we will imagine how they lived. In addition, a cut in the shell wall will allow us to better understand and observe the stratification of the discarded mussel leaflets. Touring the interpretation circuit, we appreciate the particular development that plants, flowers and fruits reach in this special ecosystem.

Well organized, comfortable boat, beautiful landscapes, guide in eapanhol and English. We left at 9:30 and returned 3 hours later directly for lunch at a dozen good restaurants in the region.

On a beautiful calm day it was a great introduction to the landscape as my first holiday activity. The island visit was just a short path out and back but taking a moment on the beach was nice.

We were able to see lots of animals from sea lions, penguins, cormorants, and even some whales. The boat was comfortable and even made one stop to get off and explore an island.

It was OK. The boat changed our departure time to two hours later and we were not notified. This is not a problem when you have extra time but we were in port for just a day. The tour guide lady was good talking in both English and Spanish. The boat was clean and they sell food on board.

The experience was cancelled no less than 3 times due to weather conditions (weather seemed fine, but ok) but the problem is the lack of communication. At no point did we receive information of the cancellation and on all days did we have to travel to the city just before the excursion to learn it was cancelled.

Yes saw lots, and even 4 whale tails (flukes). up close to boat. Boat was nice, clean, warm and well laid out. Had to stand in long line to exchange reservation conf # for boarding receipt. Listing said to arrive 30 mins before. I would suggest allowing more time so you don't feel rushed.

We really enjoyed this tour. The hiking in the little island was super and the visit to the sea lions and birds islands were unforgettable as well. Highly recommended
