Embark on a captivating journey through the Negev Desert.
Begin at Kibbutz Sde Boker, where David Ben-Gurion’s modest desert home remains preserved exactly as he left it, with his books, letters, and simple furnishings.
A short drive brings you to the Ben-Gurion Tomb, overlooking the dramatic cliffs of the Zin Canyon. This peaceful viewpoint, framed by sweeping desert horizons, reflects Ben-Gurion’s deep belief in the beauty and promise of the Negev.
Continue to the ancient Nabatean city of Avdat, perched on a high desert plateau along the historic Incense Route. The site’s remarkably preserved temples, wine presses, fortifications, and Byzantine churches reveal the creativity and resilience of the Nabateans who once thrived here.
End your tour at the majestic Makhtesh Ramon—the world’s largest erosion crater. With its multicolored rock layers, towering cliffs, and immense open spaces, this natural wonder offers an unforgettable finale to your Negev adventure.

Levi Zelkind was a gem of a guide. From our hotel pickup to drop off it was pleasure. He explained so much Israeli history that I could not believe it. We heard the story (and behind the story) of David Ben-Gurion's life. The history behind it and more about Israeli culture. We toured Avdat in the drizzle, but it did not deter his explanation of the World Heritage site. We had lunch near the site (It was Shabbat) He hiked Ramon Crater with us and explained that there were only two such geologic places in the world - the other being the Giant's Causeway, a favorite of ours. On the way back to Tel Aviv he went out of his way to find us a tour guide to tour the Tel Aviv markets. His choice - Eli -was also excellent and we had a great day with him. You cannot go wrong with Levi.
