What To Expect
In this incredible hike we will climb the crater of the 4 highest mountain in Mexico from this point we will have an impressive view of the lagoons that are inside the lagoons of the Sun and the Moon, these are the highest in the world of their kind. Then we will enter the crater to go around the lagoons and enjoy its beauty more closely, to finish we will go up again to return to the transport and go to enjoy a well-deserved meal.

5.00I booked this trip as part of a commitment to myself together out of my comfort zone (urbanite here) and do something outside and meet new people. I am an extreme introvert. I was not expecting what I experienced. First half hour into the hike I experienced altitude sickness. I had just arrived from NYC the day before. I’m a pretty active guy. I’ve lived in places like Aspen, CO and Santa Fe, NM. So I thought I’d be fine. Until I threw up and had dizzy spells. NOTE: I should’ve waited 4-5 days to acclimate to altitude before doing this hike. The guide sergio stayed with me and encouraged me to move at my own pace. The scenery was stunning. The air quality delicious. Some parts were really steep (deathly afraid of heights). There were times where I was ready for “jesus to take the wheel”. With Sergio’s continued encouragement I was able to complete the trail. Can’t wait to do it again I a few months. I feel both appreciative and humbled by the experience.

5.00My guide picked me up early and off we went. He jumped the line and passed all the “shuttle buses” up to the top. Always concerned with how I was feeling (with high altitude) we hiked almost to the top. (Helmets are needed for the last part.). Very crowded at first but we soon left crowds behind. He dropped me off where I asked. Great guide!
