Cozy up this Winter and enjoy a three course meal accompanied by selected wine pairings at three of Newport's exquisite restaurants. Our progressive stroll will last several hours along Newport's Historic Thames Street and will encompass approximately 1 mile. Tours run Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Newport Foodies Winter Stroll is an exceptional value and a genuinely memorable experience. For one very reasonable price, you’re treated to a full, thoughtfully curated evening across four beautiful venues: a welcoming drink at the first stop, followed by appetizer, dinner, and dessert. Each course is paired with your choice of red or white wine along the way! Due to an unexpected pipe burst at the originally planned appetizer venue (Vieste), both the appetizer and dinner were hosted at Hooked instead. What could have been a disruption was handled seamlessly, and the execution was absolutely flawless. The pacing, quality, and coordination never missed a beat, and Hooked delivered on both courses beautifully. What really elevates the experience is the guidance throughout the evening. Sue and Tom are fantastic hosts, sharing interesting bits of local history, behind-the-scenes insights, and thoughtful commentary as you move from venue to venue. Their storytelling adds depth and personality, making the stroll feel curated and intentional rather than just a series of stops. The event feels seamless and immersive. You’re not just eating, you’re experiencing Newport. Portions are generous and well paced, and you will absolutely walk away completely full and satisfied. Between the food, wine pairings, beautiful settings, and engaging narration, it’s like dinner and a show but at a fraction of what you’d expect to pay for an evening this polished. The Winter Stroll delivers far more than it promises and is absolutely worth it.

We recently took the evening Newport Winter Foodies Stroll. We've done a lot of food tours but this one was different - it was like a progressive dinner. We visited 4 different establishments, having a welcome drink, appetizer, main course, and dessert at different places, along with wine (choice of red or white) offered with each course. All of the food was excellent, and Sue and Tom, our guides, were delightful companions. We only had a short stay in Newport, so we appreciated being taken to restaurants that we knew would be outstanding. And it was nice on a busy Friday night knowing that we were expected and would receive a warm welcome without having to deal with making multiple reservations ourselves. The amount of walking between stops was just right, too. This was a very fun, entertaining evening, and we highly recommend this experience.
