Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, located on Lake Victoria in Uganda, offers a unique opportunity to observe orphaned and rescued chimpanzees in a natural forested environment. Established in 1998, the sanctuary spans 100 acres, with 98% of the area forested, providing a safe haven for over 50 chimpanzees

Begin your day with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. You’ll travel by road to the Entebbe Waterfront Pier, located near the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC). The drive takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.
Lake Victoria Equator Entebbe
Arrive at the pier and check in for your boat transfer to Ngamba Island. After a short briefing and life jacket fitting, board a speedboat or traditional motorized canoe (depending on your package). The boat ride takes approximately 45 minutes, offering beautiful views of Lake Victoria, fishing boats, and small islands.

It was amazing visiting lake Victoria and ngamba island for chimpanzee tour I felt more safe visiting with my guide jesh also accompanied me with boat riders on speed boat just was expecting 45 minutes but took us 30 minutes to reach the island I also got a chance to see the equator thanks twija for this Trip
