What To Expect

Ngong Ping 360

Ngong Ping 360, Hong Kong’s unique attraction, combines a 5.7km cableway between Tung Chung and Ngong Ping with an impressive traditional Chinese culturally themed village located in the heart of Lantau’s Country Park. The spectacular 25 minute cable car ride will enable guests to enjoy spectacular views of panoramic vistas of Lantau Country Park, South China Sea and Hong Kong’s award winning International Airport. As your cabin approaches Ngong Ping you will begin to catch glimpses of the Tian Tan Giant Buddha located next to Ngong Ping Village. The Village boasts traditional Chinese architectural design and the cultural and spiritual integrity of the area.

Waited 1 hour for the cable car back to Tung Chung just for it to get delayed and take a shuttle bus, short delay turn into an hour long line wait.

This is a must do when in HK. If possible do the Crystal car as you you get the floor also with glass and also avoid the long ques.The views are spectacular. Also the walk around the village and Budha statue etc. Easily accessible from MTR or public bus.

Should provide the English signage for the foreigner visitors for the Crystal and standard cabin lines to avoid the confusion, if Hong Kong does welcome the Western visitors.

Amazing views and so good that you got 360 views as glass cabin, definitely worth a visit up to the Buddha and should definitely pay to get the cable car instead of walking as the hike is very steep and strenuous. The Buddha is free as is Po Lin monastery. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Hong Kong

Great view we booked it away in the normal cabin and the way back with the crystal+ cabin so you are on the way back alone in the cabin and can fully enjoy the view
Nice to visit with the opportunity to go up to the peak close to Buddha statue.

Long queue both ways probably due to CNY period. Overall experience was good got chance to see Buddha statue. Sufficient eateries and toilet facilities. Good to visit during non peak or non holiday period.

Used Cathay Pacific “town check-in” to get our bags sent to airport, then caught AirPort Express train, then Taxi to cable car. Such a great way to spend 4 hours before your flight. Amazing views, relaxing lunch & good leg stretch before flight home.

Love sitting in a glass carriage, taking great pictures, taking in the water, seeing trees, mountains, important hiking walkers, having a morning, sitting with two friends, talking about what to take, not worrying.

A very fatherly experience and certainly. Best way to get to see. The great Buddha you find above the cable car, spectacular views and you are enjoying the road at all times. I definitely recommend it.
