Itinerary:
We will pick you up at your accommodation to head towards the Puclaro reservoir, about 16 km from Vicuña, we will arrive at one of the villages surrounding the reservoir, here we will start walking. We will help each other with headlamps and canes throughout the trek. We will arrive at a strategic point and we will settle to make observation of the sky taking advantage of the remoteness and the little light pollution that is in this place, you will be able to observe the stars by naked eye.
You will receive a small astronomical talk about the stars that can be seen during the night, we will prepare the camera to start this session of astro photography with one of the cleanest skies in the world as protagonist.
We will return from trekking to vehicles and drop you back at your accommodation.
It is necessary to bring:
Comfortable/warm clothing.
Trekking or sports boots/shoes.
Backpack.
Water (min. 1/2 liter)

We will pick you up at your accommodation to leave for the Puclaro reservoir.
Embalse Puclaro
We will arrive at one of the towns that surround the reservoir, here we will begin to walk. We will help ourselves with headlamps and poles throughout the trek. We will arrive at a strategic point and set up to observe the sky, taking advantage of the distance and the little light pollution that exists in this place, you will be able to observe the stars with the naked eye. You will receive a short astronomical talk about the stars that can be seen during the night, we will prepare the camera to start this astro photography session with one of the cleanest skies in the world as the protagonist.

5.00Amazing experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable, spoke both Spanish and English and was very nice. There are 2 routes you can take to get to the photo spot , one easier than the other but the harder one is well worth the effort. The hike up is not for the faint of heart but extremely rewarding. WEAR HIKING/TRAIL SHOES! Breathtaking views and magnificent photos. Highly recommend

5.00We had a wonderfull walk in the dark with our guide. Right tempo and altitude. Guide Fernanda was really pleasant and with lots of knowlegde about the nature, the history and culture in Elqui valley. Bring good shoes and get ready for a special night.

4.00The night time sky. Slipping twice on loose rocks. Description said walk, but this was a moderate Trek. Guides all had hiking boots
