Jardins de la Fontaine
The garden was laid out in accordance with the classical layout around the Nemausus spring, spreading forth a supply of water that feeds pools and the canal. In the Gallo-Roman period, this area was the site of the baths, theatre and the temple of Diana which with its surrounding greenery makes for a romantic backdrop.
La Maison Carree Nimes
A true masterpiece of Gallo-Roman architecture, the Maison Carrée is today the only ancient temple in the world to be perfectly preserved. Photo stop.

I had expected a lot from this tour, but it exceeded my expectations. Nathalie was a wonderful guide: knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to ensure that we all got as much out of the sites we visited as possible. The Pont du Gard is magnificent. Seeing it in person for the first time is quite an extraordinary experience. And there is more: The scenery en route is captivating, Nîmes is a surprise, and Uzès is so very charming. A perfect day.

Very good experience. Our guide adjusted well to running into many road blockages in Nimes because of a bank holiday marathon and a major demonstration on May Day. None-the-less, lots of time lost in Nimes due to having to walk large distances. Things went more smoothly in Pont du Gard and Uses. Enough time to sight see and have lunch. Roman sites were amazing.

This is an amazing trip with so many things to see and do - I enjoyed eating and shopping in the open air market, seeing and even walking on the amazing historical sites. The gardens were beautiful.

We were a group of 8, two families with teenagers from 12-17. We had an amazing day with our guide Kelcy. She was kind, patient and knowledgeable. We had such a good day visiting beautiful sites. It was relaxing and enjoyable from the arena in Nîmes, the picturesque town of Uzès to the impressive Pont du Gard. Absolutely loved our day!

Great tour for seeing these beautiful towns and the Pont du Gard. Our guide was awesome! The ride was comfortable and the time spent at each location matched the trip description. This was a good way to see if a longer day or overnight trip back to Nîmes or Uzès was something I should add to my itinerary.

This is a great way to see amazing Roman ruins, artsy hilltop walled cities and learn about (and walk on!) an awe-inspiring aqueduct…all while someone else takes care of driving and shares history, travel insights and great local color. You are going to thank yourself for this day.

Avignon is a 2-day treat, Pont du Gard walk to the bridge and museum, with lunch, is an amazing adventure and Uzes turned out to be a total surprise...a charming small town with a vibrant outdoor marketplace, One of the highlights of our southern Rhone adventure.

Nathalie was a great tour guide! I had a great time seeing the amazing Roman sights and learning of their history. My only wish is that we had more time at the sites but I think they are making it a full day tour next year, which would accommodate that.
