✔️ 10:15: The first destination in this trip is visiting Hoa Lu ancient capital. This is the first capital of Vietnam. ✔️Come to visit Hoa Lu, you will learn about why the capital was moved to Hanoi nowadays. You are impressed on an outstanding architecture when entering temples of King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17 century. Try to feel ancient atmospheres in Hoa Lu ancient capital.

✔ 11:45: Time for lunch, you are served with traditional Vietnamese food in a local restaurant. Relax in 20 minutes. ✔13:20: At Tam Coc wharf, you get on a rowing Tam Coc River Boat Tour with maximum 2 people on a boat to discover the beauty of Tam Coc Caves. Within 1.5 hours on the boat, local boat riders will orderly take you to visit three Tam Coc caves: Hang Ca (the first grotto), Hang Hai (the second grotto) and Hang Ba (the third grotto).

3.00A tour group of 6 is better than 12 is better than 20 is better than 40 but they still all go to the same average buffet and do the same hike and the same boat ride. You will be swarmed and surrounded by tourists -- highly recommend you just stay the night because you have access to the sites before the day trippers arrive and after they leave. Also, very few of these are true tours-- it's mostly transportation. Very very little narration. Communication was good with this group. Lunch was poor but I didn't expect much. Bring water -- you pay for drinks.

5.00Visiting Ninh Binh was absolutely picturesque, offering a scenery reminiscent of the iconic James Bond Island in Thailand. Our tour guide, Da, was incredibly friendly and had a wonderful sense of humour that made the experience even more enjoyable.

5.00Nice overview day of some of the Ninh Binh highlights. The guide will did a good job of explaining the area and history and the activities. Be aware the bicycling requires physical capabilities and the mountain climb is close to 30-35 flights of uneven and irregular stairs. Only complaint from day is if you get unlucky and some people in the group delay activities by not being able to accomplish the activities at average rate or paying attention to instructions.
