Was a fairly enjoyable evening a traditional experience called the fish fry The local entertainer had everyone enjoying the music of that age era We were surprised by the number of people here and they obviously have worked out the ratios for food etc and timing before the dancers come on a group of young local girls Great to see Location looked nice although it had been raining so we were indoors and didn’t get to enjoy Good to do Lots of older age range who were throughly enjoying themselves It’s an experience Food was okay the fish was nice as I said it’s part of the experience of island life The entertainer was such a happy person and enjoyed his job actually the part I liked most was how he explained about life on Pitcairn island now and where it is situated

This place is a classic experience - the meal of deep fried fish chunks and local veggies was fine, but the Pitcairn refugee, who was smashing out bangers from the 1950s on his ukulele while folks who may have been middle aged at that time cut sick on the dance floor, made it. Then when they bought out the Bounty Beauties - a bevy of young girls who hula danced in honour of the Tahitian women abducted by the mutineers - reality disappeared as history was re-written.

  • Fish Fry Fun

This was a fun night in a lovely natural setting. Great entertainment from the singing guitarist who introduced each song with a brief story about its context. The serving of the food was slick as we helped ourselves to generous servings of a good range of salads, some special ‘local’ dishes and plenty of perfectly cooked battered trumpeter. The coconut pie for dessert was equally delicious. After the meal a graceful and skilful performance of Tahitian dance was enjoyed by everyone.

This is worth doing as the fish is cooked very well and is not oily - the entertainment is excellent from the MC guitarist vocalist to the beautiful local dancing girls . My only downside is that it’s a buffet style and it’s first come first served so by bring polite a lot of the food was at a low level when it came to my turn. They did relenting the dishes big there was a wait for especially the fish. It is however something that is worth experiencing and when compared to the fancy restaurant prices it’s about the same but includes the local experience and entertainment.

  • Don't have high expectations of the food

This experience did not meet our expectations. I was expecting a variety of fish but it appeared that we got just one kind of fish. The salads were acceptable but there was nothing outstanding. The entertainer tried his best but was not doing justice to the songs he sang. The dancing by a group of young girls was not what I was expecting given the promotional material that is used for this experience. The location is very good, looking out over the ocean and the sunset. Having said all this it is Norfolk Island I understand that most of the participants in the night were local amateurs. I would not say to avoid but I think the food could be improved.
