Welcome to the North End Food Tour! One of Boston's oldest and most important neighborhoods, the North End is most known for its multi-generation Italian-American culture, as well as its abundance of seafood, markets, and cafes. The group will have tastings at 5 different locations while learning about the North End's rich history and its contribution to the growth of Boston.
During this tour, we'll taste the following:
-Clams casino from an over 50-year-old family-run waterfront restaurant
-An Italian sub from one of Boston's most acclaimed sandwich shops
-Meatballs from a salumeria in a tucked-away alley off of Hanover St
-Florentine cannoli from a 24/7 bakery that's been a North End institution since 1926
-Tiramisu from the oldest Italian cafe in Boston
As a parting gift for joining the tour, you will receive a post-tour email highlighting my favorite places to visit, activities to enjoy, and hundreds of local food & drink options while you're in the Boston area.

We had the best time on our Boston food tour with Up and Adam Food Tours, truly a 5-star experience! Adam was so personable and made the whole tour feel easy, fun, and really special from the start. What I loved most is that he doesn’t just know the food (which was all amazing), but he also weaves in so much history about the city along the way. It made every stop feel more meaningful and memorable. You can tell he genuinely cares about what he does, and it shows in every detail. Highly recommend! Such a great way to experience Boston. We’ll definitely be back for another tour next time we’re in town!

Great introduction to North End history and culture. Loved the evening tour and seeing the neighborhood nightlife mixed with tourists. Food was excellent and served as dinner for our family. Would definitely recommend.

This was our family’s first food tour, and it exceeded all our expectations. We chose the North End tour after hearing it was the best area for food, and with so many options, a guided tour felt like the perfect choice. We’re so glad we did—it’s absolutely worth it. Rather than naming the specific stops (so as not to spoil the experience), I’ll just say that all five places we visited were fantastic. We enjoyed a great mix of three savory dishes and two sweet treats. Even our picky children tried new foods and loved everything, which says a lot! Beyond the food, the historical insights we gained made the experience even more special. We learned so much about the North End. Adam was passionate, engaging, and great with our kids—he truly kept their attention and made the tour feel like we were exploring with a friend. He was also very accommodating of our children’s allergies, which we really appreciated. He guided us through hidden, off-the-beaten-path spots where we enjoyed amazing food. After the tour, he even sent us a list of recommended restaurants to try on our own. The pace was relaxed, never rushed, and we had plenty of time to take photos and soak it all in. We would absolutely book another tour with Adam if we return to the area. Thank you, Adam—highly recommended!

Excellent food/history tour of north end eateries on the water, tucked away down alleys and rustic historic cafes. Each selection was well planned and each selection provided top shelf examples of Boston’s north end. Adam is also quite knowledgeable of local history. I particularly liked his binder of before/after photos. We have been on many food tours - this was one of the best! James and Debbie Marino - Long Island NY

Five stars for Adam’s North End tour. He mixes food + history in the best way—quick stories on the neighborhood, then right into spots we never would’ve found on our own. Every stop was legit tasty, portions were solid, and the pacing never dragged. Adam’s easygoing, knows great North End trivia, and clearly loves the area. If you want more than just a bite to eat, this is the way to do the North End.

Super fun! Adam was knowledgeable, personable, and fun. The food was delicious. As much history as food. Equally fabulous is his “parting gift” of his personal Boston recommendations.
