Private tour is a great way to explore the Northern Lights scenery, as that way we can really customise the tour to match your needs or wishes. Either it's the late arrival social distancing, family holiday, group of friends/colleagues, demanding photographers or adventurers who want us to take you to the hilltops to get THE Northern Lights photo. It's also a great way to get 100% of guide's attention, to learn more about local history and nature and also about your camera settings, if you are keen to learn about Aurora photography.
In case we don't have availability on a given day you wish to join us, please send us an email and we see, what can we do about it.

5.00These guys have given us the experience of a lifetime ! 22 Seniors had the time of their lives on a beach in Sommaroy, huddled around a fire and then.... a symphony of light appeared overhead. We were mesmerised and totally delighted by the display of Northern Lights. The guides knew exactly where to take us to give us the sights we had travelled across the globe to see. They are mastersof photography. Memories forever. Thank you so much Markus and his team. If you are going to Tromso, these guys are the best.

5.00We booked a tour to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Samuel was our guide and he did an amazing job. After a week of the lights not showing up we were treated to 3 amazing shows. It was a 7 hour trip and Samuel was friendly, professional and catered to our every need. The night ended with and explosion of dancing lights overhead. It was a spiritual experience for us. I have waited a lifetime for this experience and so thankful we were able to see them! Would love to bring my kids and grandkids to experience the lights. I can’t recommend Greenlander Tours highly enough! Thanks to Markus for setting up an amazing night.

5.00Wow, we couldn't have asked for a more magical evening. Our guide, Peter was fantastic, so knowledgeable about Norway, the culture and of course the Aurora. We were picked up by Peter right by where we were staying and he explained that the weather wasnt great due to lots of cloud cover, however we drove towards Finland (didnt have to go all the way) and then bang the lights showed up for us. We stopped by an amazing place by the water and the moved to a second places where we had a campfire with delicious hot chocolate and cookies. The lights were just amazing and would never had witnessed them without the help of Peter and Greenlander. Having a private tour gives you way more flexibility and it was ideal, as our son could sleep on the way back. Cant recommend Greenlander and Peter enough. The photos Peter took were fantastic and they were sent to us the same night. I have added a couple of photos we took, but the standard of Peters photos are way better. If you have any doubts about booking, dont, just do it. Thank you for making our trip wonderful.

5.00We went for a private tour with Markus as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and just great company in general. Managed to find us an amazing spot with no others looking across the Fjord and mountain range. Amazing scenery itself already and we managed to spot some great northern lights at the end of our tour. Markus even went above and beyond, stopping on the way back a couple of times to catch the lights. Can definitely feel his passion and love for his work!

5.00I searched for a tour to suit our family of 6. Greenlander went above and beyond to make our dream of seeing the northern lights a reality. Peter our guide had to combat adverse driving conditions to take us into Finland to find a gap in the clouds. We thought it wouldn’t work out for us then just all of a sudden we had an amazing show of lights. Peter’s enthusiasm for nature was infectious. To have professional photos taken and included with the tour meant we could enjoy the experience rather then trying to get that best shot ourselves ! Thank you Greenlander, very highly recommended.

5.00We chose to have a private tour to chase the Northern Lights, especially because of having a 4 year old with us. Peter was our guide and we consider ourselves very lucky! He is a very passionate person, who lives what he is doing, and such a combination can only pay off. Every detail was meticulously thought of. We had great talks around the fire as the year was coming to an end and we managed to also experience the magic of the lights. Absolutely precious moments and a unique ending to a challenging 2025!
