What To Expect

Let us take you on an amazing, guided off-roading adventure! Ride through a beautiful rainforest, splash through rivers, explore an ancient glacier riverbed while being blown away by the breath-taking scenery including the spectacular Southern Alps and Franz Josef Glacier. Your guide will kit you out with wet weather gear and gumboots and teach you how to ride our off-roading vehicles. They will entertain you and amaze you with beautiful local Maori Legends and history while refining your skills and giving you new challenges to conquer. Either take a single quad bike all to yourself or take a double quad bike and bring a passenger along for the ride or take one of our three-seater buggies that can fit two adults and one child. - If you are booking a double quad its one driver and one passenger - passengers are not permitted to drive so you can not swap at any point on the tour. - Drivers must be a minimum of 16 years of age. - Drivers with minors as passengers must be a minimum of 18 years of age. - Passengers on the quad bikes must be a minimum height of 145cm - Passengers in the buggy's must be a minimum height of 110cm

Single Quad: Enjoy a quad to yourself! Drivers must be 16yrs +

Triple Buggy : 3 Seater buggy - great for families! Children need to be 110cm + to join.

Had an awesome time. Karl our guide was great. Beautiful surroundings to play in. Lots of mud & water, thank goodness for all the waterproofing gear. Definitely recommend this adventure, lots of fun!

Really cool trip with plenty of interesting terrain / obstacles and routes through the rainforest and along the river bed. Our guide is as really helpful getting us comfortable with the quads and maximising time driving.

We had an absolute blast today with Karl. This activity is 5/5 and highly recommended if you’re visiting Franz Josef. Karl’s professionalism and his enthusiasm in what he does clearly shows. Beautiful terrain and rain forests with lots of water and 4WD driving. Full safety briefing with wet weather gear included. Fantastic photos taken of our day.

This tour was so much fun! I had originally bought us two single quad bike tickets but I realized I was a bit out of my depth. Jumped on my husband’s bike as a passenger & had so much fun! Brooklyn our tour leader was great - allowed us a lot of free wheeling, was super safety conscious but not over the top & took fantastic photos for us to remember the trip by. It was the best wet & muddy fun tour!! Highly recommend it.

Very organized and the ease of learning how to operate the Quads was well defined. The guides were truly interested in your safety as well as having g a great time. All ages can participate in the activity but it is bumpy. Was a little hesitant as I have had some next and back issues so we changed from a double quad to a 4 wheel buggy and it was just as much fun as I had anticipated.

This was so much fun. The tour leaders were great. They accurately assessed our proficiency on the bike and provided useful instruction that was easy to follow, splitting the riders into groups relevant to their skill. The gear provided kept us warm and dry whilst we slashed through water and mud. One of the best activities on our trip.

This would have to be the best experience we have ever had, both my wife and I newbie’s to Quad Biking and would definitely do this again. The whole team Justin, Leo and the awesome Benji were fantastic from start to finish. Benji was our guide and did a great job with his knowledge of the area and making sure everyone was safe during the activity. I can’t forget the admin staff on arrival who were friendly and made sure we were comfortable. Keep up the great work and see you when we return.

Highly recommend this tour. Justin was a fantastic guide and we felt safe the whole tour. So much fun for all ages so long as you meet the height criteria.
