What To Expect

Let us take you on an amazing, guided off-roading adventure! Ride through a beautiful rainforest, splash through rivers, explore an ancient glacier riverbed while being blown away by the breath-taking scenery including the spectacular Southern Alps and Franz Josef Glacier. Your guide will kit you out with wet weather gear and gumboots and teach you how to ride our off-roading vehicles. They will entertain you and amaze you with beautiful local Maori Legends and history while refining your skills and giving you new challenges to conquer. Either take a single quad bike all to yourself or take a double quad bike and bring a passenger along for the ride or take one of our three-seater buggies that can fit two adults and one child. - If you are booking a double quad its one driver and one passenger - passengers are not permitted to drive so you can not swap at any point on the tour. - Drivers must be a minimum of 16 years of age. - Drivers with minors as passengers must be a minimum of 18 years of age. - Passengers on the quad bikes must be a minimum height of 145cm - Passengers in the buggy's must be a minimum height of 110cm

Double Quad : IMPORTANT: Must be booked for either 2, 4 or 6 people. 2 seater quad - 1 x Driver, 1 x Passenger (Passengers 145cm +)

Triple Buggy

Triple Buggy : 3 Seater buggy - great for families! Children need to be 110cm + to join.

Single Quad

Single Quad: Enjoy a quad to yourself! Drivers must be 16yrs +

You get wet and muddy, but all protection clothing is provided, including helmet, and over clothes, even sunglasses. We were split into two groups depending on ability, we were in the more advanced group, our tour guide Amy was great, had the most fun in the mud you could imagine. Opportunities for photos which Amy took using companies camera but also took photos using your own, free photos were emailed to you for you to download

This was a great activity especially when the weather was a little wet. The 2 staff out with the group on quadbikes (sorry forgotten names) are a credit to the company. Friendly, Fun yet professional ensuring everyone was safe and enjoying themselves. The variety from the rocky stones, through wet rainforest to muddy fields was great. Loved that this tour also included photos for free (unlike other local activities who charge a fortune unnecessarily) which were emailed the next day. This was definately good value for money considering how much we enjoyed it! Highly recommend especially in not so great weather!

This is the best thing you can do in Franz Josef! You see the rainforest, rivers, lakes and of course the glacier itself. My partner and I went on a duo quad and we had so much fun! Our guide Karl was so much fun encouraging everyone on the whole way making sure we all had fun and he took some amazing photos too! Cannot recommend this enough!!
