What To Expect

Let us take you on an amazing, guided off-roading adventure! Ride through a beautiful rainforest, splash through rivers, explore an ancient glacier riverbed while being blown away by the breath-taking scenery including the spectacular Southern Alps and Franz Josef Glacier. Your guide will kit you out with wet weather gear and gumboots and teach you how to ride our off-roading vehicles. They will entertain you and amaze you with beautiful local Maori Legends and history while refining your skills and giving you new challenges to conquer. Either take a single quad bike all to yourself or take a double quad bike and bring a passenger along for the ride or take one of our three-seater buggies that can fit two adults and one child. - If you are booking a double quad its one driver and one passenger - passengers are not permitted to drive so you can not swap at any point on the tour. - Drivers must be a minimum of 16 years of age. - Drivers with minors as passengers must be a minimum of 18 years of age. - Passengers on the quad bikes must be a minimum height of 145cm - Passengers in the buggy's must be a minimum height of 110cm

Single Quad: Enjoy a quad to yourself! Drivers must be 16yrs +

Double Quad

Double Quad : IMPORTANT: Must be booked for either 2, 4 or 6 people. 2 seater quad - 1 x Driver, 1 x Passenger (Passengers 145cm +)

We had an amazing time on the quad bike adventure in Franz Josef! The guides were friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone felt safe before the ride. The experience itself was super fun — great mix of adventure, muddy tracks, and beautiful mountain views. Only small thing — the helmet had a bit of a smell, so it could use some extra cleaning. But overall, it was an awesome experience and definitely worth doing when visiting Franz Josef!

Fantastic! Training was well done. Leader (Mitchell) was very supportive. The tour gave a fantastic view of the glacier and was a very private and enjoyable tour! The tour gives you wet clothing so you don't get yourself very wet.
