4.00We ended up only doing the Mangrove Forest portion in the Afternoon. Ferries to Uehara were cancelled due to wind, so we had to ferry to Ohara (south side of Island) and take a bus to Uehara. This meant we were too late to join the morning trip. When we called to explain they let us select which one we wanted in the afternoon, and we chose the Canoe Tour. We made the right choice choosing the Mangrove Forest tour! We split up into two groups of 2 and 3 people. Ayuka-san was our guide and brought us through the Mangrove Forest while giving great information about the Forest and Wildlife in the area. There was also some trekking that led to some great photo opportunities. A great way to experience the unique nature of Ishigaki!
