During this day tour, we will explore the heritage and culture of one country in the Western Balkans – Kosovo. You will learn about the rich and fascinating ancient history of this land and understand a bit better the complexity of politics and the search for identity in the modern age.
In Kosovo – Europe’s newest country, we will explore two of the most popular cities- Pristina (the capital of Kosovo) and Prizren- a lovely city surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Please note that the total driving time in both directions is 5 hours.

What To Expect
Pristina
After approximately 2 hours drive from Skopje, we will reach Pristina- the capital of Kosovo. Then we will start our walking tour of the city. During the walking tour, you will learn a lot about the modern history of this young country and the turbulence around its creation. Our guide will do his best to present the story as objectively as possible. Our first stop will be the Pristina National Library, completed in 1982 when Kosovo was part of Yugoslavia. The library is keeping valuable books and documents some of which date to the 15th century. An interesting fact is that it is ranked at the top of the ugliest architectural structures in Europe. During our walk, we will pay attention to the statue of Mother Tereza. Due to her Albanian origin, she is a highly prized person in Kosovo. You will walk through the main pedestrian boulevard of the city and you enjoy the spirit of its center.
Prizren
After another hour and a half drive, you will reach the historical capital of Kosovo- Prizren. The town is surrounded by mountains and it is incredibly beautiful. There, you will learn about the history of the origin of Kosovo and the ideas behind it, supported by the Great Albania plan. You will see and visit monuments from the Ottoman Empire period. Our first stop during the walking tour of Prizren will be Mehmet Pasha Hamam, built during the 16th century. The next site that we will visit is The Sinan Pasha Mosque built at the beginning of the 17th century. You will be able to take a look at the nice souvenir shops that surround the mosque. Our next point of interest will be the fortress situated high above the city from where wonderful views will be revealed. On our way to the fortress, we will cross the 15th-century Stone Bridge. The fort keeps the memory of long-lost cultures and peoples. After exploring it we will head back to Skopje through very beautiful and scenic roads.

2.00Well we only went to one town as there was too much traffic to go to the other. Spent about an hour there.Apart from a couple of old churches there was nothing much to see.So for over 4 hours driving it was hardly worth the effort.

5.00You have the option to go solo or as a group. I went solo. It gave me more leverage to say determine. How long I want to stay at each location. Prishtina had some great history. I enjoyed Prizren. I had a great time. Boris was a great tour guide. I will specifically ask for him on my next trip to Skopje.

5.00BulTrips the operator did not respond to my WhatsApp message and i had to call them at pickup time as they were late. This cost me money as on the street I did not have free roaming. I was told they were doing another pickup first and then would get to us. We were left standing on the street in the rain. However once the car arrived, Boris, the guide was excellent. Caring, friendly, informative he made the day fun and enjoyable. I would recommend the tour. The management team however have a lot of improving to do.

5.00Our day tour to Kosovo with Boris was excellent. We visited Prishtina first and then Prizren, and he showed us the highlights of each city. He spent as much time as we wanted at each place he took us to, and we never felt rushed. There was plenty of time for a cafe stop in Prishtina and lunch in Pritzren where we tried the local speciality that he recommended and liked it. An added bonus is that he is a former photographer, so we now have some very good pictures. Boris is a professional driver and able to navigate the chaotic city traffic just fine. I would definitely recommend his tour.

1.00Soooo, after paying $336 for 2 of us, this tour company felt it was completely okay to shove us in a VW with another couple for 7 hours of driving - with me in the back middle seat, body to body with another person I never met. Absolutely not. We didn't do the tour, just ridiculous.

5.00This trip was nice although Pristina has not much to see except the national library and Teresa Catherdral, but the capital city is lively. Prinzen is worth to see as it is an old town with beautiful mountain and river. But most of the shops are selling modern things and clothes. The visit is worth to see the mosques and the Turkish area with hamman (closed). The journey takes several hours but the roads are good. Worth to join this tour.

5.00Boris was an awesome tour guide and we had great conversations the whole day! I was the only one to sign up for the tour and it felt like my own private tour. He was very informative and provided great insight at each location. He chose a great restaurant for lunch and was very kind and accommodating! The pita and baklava was amazing. The trip to the top of the Catholic Church gave great views of Pristina. I spent a few hours by the river in Priznen getting great pictures taken by Boris. Thanks for a fab day Boris.
