Bathe is a contemporary urban interpretation of the traditional Japanese onsen. Located on upper Brecon Street, it sits within the energy of Queenstown itself. The communal pool is designed to feel open and social. Sixty minutes in warm, magnesium-rich water. A shared space with considered energy, quiet conversation, a curated playlist running low in the background, steam lifting into alpine air. The water works into tired muscles after a day on the trails or slopes. Views unfolding across rooftops and ridgelines. You’re part of the scene rather than removed from it. It suits solo travellers, couples, and groups who don’t mind sharing space. A setting that feels urban, lightly energetic, and connected to the street. You leave clear-headed and grounded. Reset, but still in flow with the town.

On arrival I received a warm welcome from Elle and Ethan. All health and safety information was given. The timing was so convenient and had a option of changing my choice of spa which I swapped the mountain view for more of a private environment. It was a beautiful experience I would do this again in a heart beat if I had the chance. Na mihinunui koutou katoa. Ali Heemi.

This is our first time visiting the private pools and wow they are lush! The whole vibe is super peaceful, from the greeting at the door and lovely paths headed to the pool itself. Once inside there is a gorgeous changing area and outdoor shower with lovely smelling toiletries. Pool is deep and hot and a perfect way to spend a chilly winters afternoon. Ben, Elly and Ali were fabulous as well and were super warm and welcoming. We even managed to not hear any of the noise from the council trimming trees not too far away. Beautiful and eco friendly designs all round.

Fantastic relaxing spa. Went early and enjoyed a private pool which was fully enclosed with peaceful views of the open sky above. Complimentary mineral water hit the spot and the team were friendly and helpful. Hair dryers would be a nice addition to avoid leaving with wet hair on cold winter days but otherwise a great experience. Thanks team, I will definitely be back!
