Set beneath the largest Sacred Ceiba tree on Ambergris Caye (sacred to both Maya and Garifuna), in our overwater palapa at sunset, you play the actual ancestral instruments while the Caribbean breeze carries every beat.

Our family of 6 adults and 4 kids (14,12,7,5) wanted a unique cultural experience. The venue is very unique out on Lina Point- it added to the experience. We loved learning about the culture and history of the Garifuna people. The instructor was so patient and kind and you could tell his passion for drumming and his people through his enthusiastic presentation. We had a wonderful time!

Rahim was an informative instructor. He explained the history of the Garifuna people, the importance of spirituality and drumming, and he was a fun teacher! We thoroughly enjoyed his patience with us and how he made it interactive and collaborative! ! I’d highly recommend it as we also liked that it was an intimate class of 5!

The drumming lesson with Raheem was a lovely experience. He was very informative in his teaching and we left with a greater understanding and appreciation for the Garifuna culture. He is a very gifted musician and a lovely soul. Throuroughly enjoyed.
