Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Wear comfortable clothing as youll be putting waterproof waders on over the top of what you wear. Bring a waterproof camera if you have one, and a pair of socks to help you get into/ out of the waterproof waders. As we will be out in the water, please dress to the weather conditions on the day. Ie if its hot please bring a hat, for cooler weather it would be beneficial to bring a jacket. In winter you may choose to wear a scarf and beanie.

What To Expect
Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Tours
Climb into waders (supplied), and hear from the Oyster Farmer himself who will first take you on a historical adventure explaining Matthew Flinders voyage. Wade out into the water to our floating pontoon where you will learn about how oysters are farmed, and taste the freshest oysters you'll ever taste, straight out of the water. You'll have a chance to taste Pacific Oysters and the Native Coffin Bay Angasi Oyster. You'll also have a hands-on shucking lesson where you will learn to shuck your very own oyster. You'll have the chance to ask lots of questions, and by the time you leave you'll be an oyster officionardo!

Go visit and eat some fresh oysters but it’s darn expensive for the tour!

4.00This was our first time trying oysters and they were pretty good! Aside from that, we learned about Coffin Bay, got 4 oysters each (& a seafood plate) and got to put on waders and shuck our own. Unfortunately , the tide was too high for us to walk out and see the farm so we just got waders on and went to a table about 8 feet off the shore. I would have rented a car and driven myself out to Coffin Bay instead for the $400 it cost the three of us!! The place itself was great and the food was worth driving out for. Kim the owner was awesome and told us a lot about the surrounding community and showed us some emus and kangaroos on our way back to Port Lincoln. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the price we paid. Go out yourselves and just buy some oysters and look around…
