The tour the same as the tour guide was excellent. Lots of interesting facts and stories that may not be so accesible. It was great to hear the personal side of the things while living in time when Medellin was the most dangerous city in the world.

  • From Knowing Nothing to Understanding Medellín’s History

If you’re interested in learning more about the real history of Medellín and Pablo Escobar beyond the Netflix version, this tour is definitely worth doing. I honestly didn’t know much going in, but Luis made the entire experience engaging, informative, and easy to follow. He explained not only Pablo Escobar’s rise, but also the impact it had on Medellín, the people, and how the city transformed over the years. What I appreciated most was that the tour didn’t glorify the violence—it focused on history, culture, and the resilience of Medellín. Luis was knowledgeable, professional, patient with questions, and passionate about sharing the truth behind the stories. You can tell he genuinely cares about people understanding the city beyond the stereotypes. The stops were well planned, the transportation was smooth, and the overall experience gave me a much deeper respect for Medellín and its history. Highly recommend Luis if you want a tour that is educational, balanced, and memorable.
