The Pacaya Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Guatemala, with a height of approximately 2,500 meters above sea level. The environment is made up of wet forests and rocks. It has stunning views of the Calderas Lagoon which we visit from the seat of our ATVs and three other volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. On our unique Adventure we will take ATVs from San Vicente Pacaya to various areas near and around the Pacaya Volcano. We will go on various trails to some of the villages located at the base of the volcano, where we are able to hike up the side of the volcano on top of the petrified lava flow as high as you are able to go. Throughout the tour we will be able to admire different views of the volcanoes and drive through some of the villages. We will drive through different off road trails, and we will even take some time to drive on the volcanic sand and lava fields inside of a private plantation.
We DO NOT go to the San Vicente Pacaya National park.

This was a great experience for me and my 13 year old daughter. We arrived at the tour operator location in Antigua a bit early which gave us time to get acclimated (purchase sunglasses and sunscreen we forgot). We were easily able to get by with a mix of english and spanish easily. Estuarto, our guide, was a great guy. They made sure we were able to get by no problem navigating both on and off road. Our first stop took us through coffee fields to some old lava fields to the base of Pacaya. It is huge! Pictures do not do this place justice. Our second stop brought us to some new lava fields (2021) that were much darker. We walked a bot through the fields, had our lunch (great avocado and cheese sandwich), and were able to feel the heat from the magma about 40m below. Our third stop was a lagoon formed within the caldera of one of the volcanoes. Nice and relaxing. It was a great experience - well worth both the time and money.

We had such a great time! Only one of the people in our group of 5 had ridden an ATV before. So a couple people were a little bit nervous. The guide was awesome and paused at each place before there was a more difficult part of the terrain to explain exactly how to handle it. We all had a wonderful time. Lunch was included. Some recommendations: wear pants, close-toed shoes, sunscreen, some kind of eye covering, and a bandana or some type of covering over your mouth for the dust. Our guide also took pictures of us at the stops so you do not need to keep taking your phone out to try to get selfies. Overall, fabulous experience! 10 out of 10 would do again!

What a fun experience! Everything went according to the details and information sent through email. Our tour guide Estuardo made sure not only the atv ride was smooth but transportation from antigua to pacaya. Deff recommend if you’re there looking for a nature adventure! It was my first time ATV’ing and I couldn’t have felt more confident

Went on this with my wife. The guides were very professional, knowledgeable and patient. They explained many things throughout the trip. The views on the streets were nearly as incredible as the lava fields and the views of all the volcanoes. The equipment was in very good condition. I can not express enough how amazing the 2 guides were. An all day trip including lunch and drinks for $125!?!? What are you waiting for.

Estuardo was our guide and exceeded my expectations. He connected with everyone, made us laugh and one of my favorite things is that he is an AMAZING photographer. I had a great time and it made me feel safe throughout the experience. Everything was very easy thanks to him. I’m very happy to have lived this tour—thanks to the company and especially to Estuardo!

Our guide was Diego and he was awesome. He was very informative and spoke very good English. If you are thinking of booking this tour I think it is helpful to know that you should have a lot of previous experience driving an ATV. I had driven one in the past once but I decided to have my husband drive instead of taking my own and I’m glad I did. The path going up the volcano was challenging with lots of sharp turns mixed with rock and sandy parts. I definitely would not have been able to maneuver the atv on this part of the tour. I would also recommend hiking boots as you get a lot of rocks in your shoes during the hike. Overall it was a great experience and it was awesome getting to know the other people in our group and Diego.
