On our Secret Food Tour: Le Marais Paris, you'll enjoy a variety of classic French street foods starting with a viennoiserie/croissants, and collecting breads, then go and seat to enjoy a classic croque-monsieur in the very restaurant where Jim Morrison spent some of his time in Paris, along with discovering our mystery dish and cheese while enjoying a glass of red and white wine. Visiting Le Marais also means seeing the Jewish street of Paris and tasting some creamy Falafels. Then off to a world of sweetness for some incredible chocolates and colourful macarons, all of this crowned by a dessert to finish with style.
Our tour starts at the bustling heart of Le Marais near the famous rue de Rivoli, one of the main streets of the city. During the tour we will walk the old streets, cross the Place des Vosges and see some of the oldest medieval houses of Paris. You will realise how the locals live in this part of Paris and how the city's history influence has shaped its gastronomy.

We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Olivia. She was energetic, charismatic and engaging. The food we ate along the way matched up with the price. TIP: USE CHATGPT TO FIND DISCOUNT CODES FOR VIATOR. We found a code that gave us 15% off so we saved some $ booking.

This was a great food tour - we learned alot but I think we all found the tour guide a bit demeaning. We were a group of Americans and had no knowledge of French foods yet were quizzed constantly on the food. We were also scolded for not saying “bonjour”

Imrane is the very BEST tour guide. He is full of information. He is friendly and engaging. He did the most amazing job of explaining the nuances of the different foods and how they are produced and why are they produced in a certain way. He knew the absolute best places to stop. Don't eat before you come. There is plenty of food. I would love to give him a better review, but 6 stars is not an option.

The food was really good at Vins des Pyrenees where we sat down for the croque monsieur and cheeses. Enjoyed the food samples and being able to walk around the area. Our tour guide Ingrid had a little bit of a condescending aura. I take tours for learning and she was quizzing and singling people out with a disgusted look when the answer wasn't given. I got the impression she thought we were "dumb" Americans. If I had known there was a test, I would have studied.

Lovely Gabriel brought us on the tour. Great English, lots of history and interesting stories about the area. There were only 7 of us in February which was lucky. Do not eat beforehand!!

Emmanuel was an exceptional guide. He had a very fun sense of humor and his adventurous spirit made the tour enjoyable and fun. We tasted a lot of good treats both savory and sweet with some good wine. We opted for the upgraded drink package and felt it added to the overall experience. There was a nice amount of food and we left full.

This was an excellent introduction to various food experiences in Paris. The croissant, falafel and the various sweet treats were fabulous. An excellent opportunity to introduce yourself to Paris. Antoine was extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about the foods in the area.
