Accursia and Vincenzo are extremely friendly, and excellent instructors! They have a beautiful home, the class is well structured, and the photos and videos they take to commemorate the experience are a great touch! We learned so much and love making pasta at home

This experience was the best of my entire life. If you make it to Sicily, you must route your journey to Sciacca for this incredible home, class, and family. I cannot recommend enough, it was truly life changing.

We really enjoyed this evening. We made our own pasta dough from scratch with good help and instructions from Vincenzo and Accursia. While the dough rested in the fridge, we tasted food directly from the farm, delicious. Susanne loved the caponata and there were lots of other good stuff. Accursia then showed us how to make five different types of pasta while Vincenzo told us all the details about traditional Italian and Sicilian pasta. In the large and beautiful kitchen we all made our own pasta, all five different types. We cooked it and Accursia served it with tomato sauce and accessories. We can highly recommend this cooking class!

Very good arrangement where we really got to do the process from a to to. Various techniques and good guidance. Nice with tour in the garden and serving. We ended up with a good pasta meal which we ourselves had contributed to. Can be recommended for those who want to learn more about making pasta and the history behind the various types of pasta.

This was one of the best experiences we did whilst in Sicily. It is a true traditional Sicilian family experience, Vincenzo and his mother were so lovely and they make you feel so welcome in their beautiful home. Everything is well prepared, well thought out and ready to use. They talk you through it step by step, Vincenzo English was excellent, they show you exactly what to do and no problem in stopping and helping you if you get stuck and repeating it. Everything we used was grown on their own land and we had a beautiful snack, lovely wine and then tried our pasta at the end with some of their homemade sauce. We made so many different types of pasta and learnt so much I can’t wait to try it at home. I would 100% recommend. It took around 2 hours and is a lovely way to spend an evening. We travelled over an hour to them from where we were staying and it was well worth the journey. It’s very good value for money, especially comparing it to other cooking lessons we’ve done in different countries, this has been our favourite. We didn’t have our children with us but they will also happily welcome children which is something we’d love to do next time.

This was an excellent introduction to Sicilian cooking and family life. We were welcomed to the family farm and learned the techniques for different types of pasta. The meal was soooo delicious. Being able to buy the handmade aprons was even better! If you’re not familiar with driving in the countryside, take advantage of the pick up/drop off feature. Well worth it! Such a wonderful time! Highly recommend the excursion.

We could not be more positive about the experience! The hospitality of Accursia with the assistance of her son were extremely warm and welcoming! The tour of the wonderful garden from which many ingredients came from and the surprise of tasting typical and home made dishes before we prepared the different pasta shapes was an added and unexpected bonus! Even the fun denim aprons were handmade and creatively designed by Accursia! Much more fun than we expected- well worth it!

What a wonderful local Sicilian experience! Would highly encourage everyone to experience this pasta class! Understand however, it is a little ways outside of Sciacca on Accursia's "farm." We had a car, so no worries but it is in the countryside vs in town. Accursia and her son (speaks English to translate Accursia's instruction) were wonderful hosts! We were able to sample olives, fruits and wine from the farm. They have a female white lab who had 3 adorable 6 week old pups. The short tour of the orchards and gardens added to the experience. We made 3 different "flavors" (regular, spinach and tomato) of pasta and 5 different "shapes," learning how to do them all hands-on. Although the class was 2 hours, plan for maybe 2 1/2 hours as we were able to eat a light dinner of the pasta after the class. You are able to take photos though out the class. I would recommend taking photos of the few slides they show, which include pasta history as well as the recipe(s). Don't be intimidated by the fact that the class is in Accursia's home. It is set up as a classroom and learning environment, but yet so welcoming. Highly recommend this experience.
