Although the two men we had as tour guides were very informative, they were extremely rude when not performing. Our pick up spot on the route was not the “official” first stop so when we arrived at the official beginning of the tour, we were rudely ushered off the bus and told we had to wait to get back on the bus while others were allowed to stay on the bus for whatever reason. Ok, but the guy was nasty ushering us off the bus. Why? The staff member at the stop was rude as well. We were confused on why we were being told to get off the bus as were several other people. No answers just a lot of mumbling and pointing. So we ended up not getting on the bus and walking to a completely different stop to catch the bus later in the day. It was weird actually. After spending a long day in the city and on the way back to our original pick up spot, on another bus, the driver drove right past our stop. When I mentioned to the tour guide the driver missed our stop he replied “not my problem”. I of course questioned his response and he told me I had to speak to the driver. What????? So we had to stay on the bus until the next stop which was several blocks away from where we needed to get off the bus. When we got off the bus I did ask the driver why he skipped a marked stop on the bus route and he threw up his hands and mumbled something about a detour. Just over all poor communication and customer service. I totally understand that things happen, a lot of traffic and construction is going on in Philly but, being rude and disrespectful to paying customers, not acceptable. The Big Bus Philadelphia staff were not good ambassadors for the City of Brotherly Love in my opinion. Fail

The drivers and tour guides are very good and knowledgeable about the city and are very friendly. We have done this tour twice now and will definitely do it again when we come back.

Love the convenience of the hop- on-hop-off bus! A great way to get around the city while stopping at all the tourist hot spots and learning about the city’s history along the way.
