Big Buddha Phuket
Phuket Big Buddha, or The Great Buddha of Phuket, is a seated Maravija Buddha statue in Phuket, Thailand. The official name is Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Akenakiri, shortened to Ming Mongkol Buddha. Sitting atop Nakkerd Hill near Chalong, construction began in 2004

5.00Amazing service, Patty was attentive, knowledgeable, fun and flexible based on the weather and what we wanted to do. This is great tour experience if you’re interested in going at your own pace, having a lot of fun and making great intentional memories. From booking of the tour, the communication was excellent throughout. Even the lunch spot was incredible, food was sooo local and authentic and delicious.

5.00If you're visiting Phuket solo, this tour is a must. Thanks to Nick for being my friend for the day. It was so nice to see the sights around Phuket and not have to worry about asking anyone to take my picture. It starts before you even get to Phuket, with excellent communication from Forever Vacation, to gauge your interests for what you want to see, even the music you'd like playing on the radio in the car. The actual day starts with a friendly pickup at your hotel. As I had landed in Phuket squarely in rainy season, I wasn't sure how my tour would go, but while I didn't have blue but gray skies as my backdrop, Nick and I got lucky and it would stop raining just long enough for him to show me each sight and get some pictures. He was determined that I have a great day. Fun can be had on this tour even if it rains; Nick had brought umbrellas, and I had my rain hat. However, be careful coming down the marble stairs of Wat Chalong temple with wet feet. LOL. I also had to watch myself at some of the props at Rock Beach since they were wet, but I still managed to get some great photos. I didn't have a long stay in Phuket, so this tour allowed me to get an overview of the area while capturing the evidence that I was there. Nick was a joy to spend the day with. And thanks for teaching me how to cool down spicy food with a warm broth. As solo travelers know, sometimes you have to pay as if there are two of you. Such as it is with this tour, but it was still worth doing for nearly a full day of adventure.

5.00We booked with ForeverVacation through Viator and got to see the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong Temple, Old Phuket Town, then had Lunch at an amazing restaurant, Rock Beach and Karon View Point overlooking the ocean! It was incredible!! Nick, our tourguide for the day was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the communication leading up to the trip from the team was exceptional. It was a truly special day from start to finish. Easy 5* Thank you so much!

5.00This was such a standout experience during my time in Phuket and something I’m genuinely so glad I did! From the very beginning, everything felt incredibly well organised and thoughtful. The communication beforehand was clear and reassuring, and I felt looked after before the tour had even started. On the day, Raboom was truly exceptional. He has such a calm, professional, kind energy and made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. There were moments I felt a bit tired, and he was so accommodating – adjusting the pace, offering options, and making sure I was always comfortable without any pressure. What really sets Raboom apart is how much he genuinely cares and how enjoyable he makes the experience. From helping with my bag, making sure I had water, to checking in throughout the day – it never felt like “just a tour,” it felt personal, considered, and even a little bit luxurious. The locations he took me to were absolutely beautiful and not places I would have easily found on my own. And the PHOTOS… honestly NEXT LEVEL. Some of the BEST photos I’ve ever had taken. Everyone I’ve shown them to has been so impressed – he has an incredible eye and captures everything so naturally. The whole experience felt relaxed, special, and really memorable. 5.00This tour was so amazing because of Bessica! The communication was very efficient all along - the guides really cater to what you would like to do and send you information beforehand so you know what to expect. Bessica picked me up with the driver right on time at my hotel at 7:30am. We got to see a lot of Phuket in about 6 hours! Bessica was SO kind and informative of the places we went to. We went to Old Phuket Town, Promthep Cape, Ya Nui Beach, and Karon. Bessica was also the best photographer! Without Bessica, I would not have had such beautiful pictures to last a lifetime. We saw some picturesque places and ended with a delicious lunch of my choosing. Thank you so much, Bessica! The only thing to add is that, for solo travelers, this tour is pretty expensive.
