We were picked up from the port by Marko who was very enthusiastic and accommodating, and driver Juan, also friendly and helpful. My father has mobility issues and these guides took us on a great tour with modifications. We did limited walking, but managed to see many city highlights and learn much about the city.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and the people. The Mt. of St. Louise was very interesting, and it gave me the perspective of the history of Chili and Santiago. I would do the same tour again. Very well worth ones time and money.

Santiago city tour/transfer from the Celebrity Pursuit to the airport On December 23, the last day of our 16 days Celebrity cruise, we arrived to Valparaiso. There were enough people to fill 8 busses for the tour of Santiago and transfer to the airport. From the very beginning our guide Ronald informed us that the microphone is not working and in about 45 min we will stop at the break/toilet place and we will move to another bus. After waiting for a while at the stop we were informed that the replacement bus will not arrive. Our very good guide Ronald made considerable effort to deliver information to people in the second half of the bus by raising his voice and shuffling back and forth. And the end of about nine hours trip he almost lost his voice but delivered most of the information to the passengers in the back of the bus. Was it worth to take this long trip when total transfer to the airport would take much less time in the car? For two of us it made sense financially with additional limited sightseeing included. For group of four or larger it will make sense to hire private car/van for a more comfortable and efficient transfer. Fortunately, we had additional two full days in Santiago. Each day we took booked half day sight-seeing and had a little time left to enjoy this beautiful city on our own. Good Travels
