Small goups. Big flavours. Real stories. The original Prague food tour by Taste of Prague since 2011, recommended by the NYT. The idea is simple: take you to places you would not have found, order delicious, authentic dishes and drinks you would not have ordered. And tell you things you didn't know you should google.
We run this on empathy. We know how precious your vacation time is, so we will not waste it on second-rate food or experience. We will treat your vacation and trip to Prague as if it were our own.
So if you want to spend a few hours in the company of well-traveled locals who will serve you must-try foods and drinks and will not resort to tourist clichés because simply our conscience would not let us (and our Czech friends would eat us alive for it), we'll be happy to have you.
(Please inform us of your allergies and dietary restrictions in due time. Thank you!)

Charles Bridge
Just kidding. You will not be seeing the Charles Bridge. No authentic food around it! (Okay, with one exception, but that's it!)
Wenceslas Square
Where social change happens. This avenue is central to Czech history, past and present. We will be finishing the tour very nearby.
Locally roasted specialty coffee is served at the end of the tour. You'll need it.
All Fees and Taxes
Water is available in every stop on the tour. Bottled water is provided on hot days.
The tour includes many tastings across several restaurants, which constitute a big meal. Although appetites can vary, most people cancel their dinner reservations after the tour if they have any.
One local drink per stop. (And we have non-alcoholic options, too.)
Non-alcoholic options are available if you'd like to skip on alcohol. But then again, why would you? You're on vacation, right?
We're easy. Just ask. Sure, we'll hold your baby. Yes, we'll make that reservation. Etc.
The tour includes many tastings across several restaurants, which constitute a big meal. Although appetites can vary, most people leave the tour full and satisfied. Perhaps feeling a bit guilty.
We're proud of the local things we serve. Your foreign cravings will not be included in the price.

We took the tour in March 2026 and absolutely loved it. I went with my wife and 17-year-old daughter. We were able to hit four different spots with food, and we had a great variety of Czech cuisine. Jan was highly entertaining and gave great exposure to the politics, food, and culture of the region. He was simply amazing—the tour never lagged. This was our first day in Prague, and it was the perfect way to get exposure to the city. Highly recommend. — S.T., Chicago, IL

This was a great tour. Jan, our guide, was superb. His conversations matched the excellence of the food stops, entertaining and educating for the whole tour. Each stop highlighted an aspect of Czech cuisine and Jan integrated the food consumption with discussions of the place of food in Czech history. Beers Czech pub), dogs, sammys, sweets, cocktails, and a Michelin stop. A lovely experience. Highly recommended!

This was such a fun tour! Our guide, Jan, was so knowledgeable, personable, and informative. Everything was run at a nice pace, not too slow, or too rushed. Came with an open mind and left with a full belly! It is worth the cost and I definitely suggest doing this towards the beginning of your stay as they give lots of great recommendations. Book it!

Had a wonderful 3 hours on a food tour. Sampled food from 4 venues. It was rewarding to tour with someone who had genuine love for Czech food and nation. Sampled a wide variety of food, beer , wine. Klara was a warm guide with a great sense of humor. Was relaxing and fun.

Taste of Prague was a highlight of our trip! Amazing food, and every stop was thoughtfully chosen, both traditional Czech, and modern twists. Our guide, Jan, had fun stories that brought each dish to life. The atmosphere was warm, and our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate. Highly recommend!

I have to disagree with the previous 5 star reviews. Honestly, unless those reviews were cherry picked, I don’t see how so many people would happily pay $172 dollars for this food. The first stop was beer, hot dogs and potato salad. Our guide, Klara, told us our food was of the highest quality and nutritious. It was plain, bland and flavorless. Our second stop was for a “meatloaf sandwich”. It was the best tasting food of the tour, but $350 for the two of us ? Third stop was “Michelin” mushrooms and noodles. No “oohs and ahhs” there. Last was bread pudding. It was good but nothing I’ll try to remember. Klara kept trying to extol the virtues and history of our tour but it rang hollow after a bit. It really sounded like she was a commercial for her employer. Really, Richard

Jan was great and all of the food stops were must haves. Really had a great time and learned a lot about the city and some history as well. Definitely worth it.

Jan was superb! So friendly, funny, charming and knowledgeable! The food we tried was very authentic to Prague and was delicious. Great drinks as well! Water served at every stop. Highly recommend this tour, come hungry and don’t make dinner reservations- you’ll likely cancel!
