Description
Highlights of the drive include Lake Wakatipu, Devil’s Staircase, the truly majestic mountains of Fiordland, Mirror Lake, Lake Gunn and Homer Tunnel, with multiple stops along the way for photo opportunities and Kea bird spotting (the world’s largest alpine parrot).
We then travel through the mind-blowing Homer Tunnel, emerging as the valley descends sharply down to Milford Sound, with its hundreds of waterfalls cascading into crystal clear waters.
With Cruise Milford (the No. 1 Cruise in Miflord Sound), you’ll be travelling on a smaller boat, which is less crowded and where the crew offer a much more informative and personal tour of Milford Sound. You’ll be getting close to New Zealand fur seals basking on the rocks, massive rock faces rising for hundreds of metres out of the sea and see waterfalls cascade from ancient rainforest high in the mountains.
At the end of the day your guide will drop you at the Glenorchy Air Base for your return, scenic flight back from Milford to Queenstown for the ultimate birds eye view of this stunning region.

Cancellation Policy
Terms: Tours will only run if at least 5 people have booked on the tour, we reserves the right to alter the tour due to weather or operational needs.
A full refund will be issued for cancellations made a minimum of 10 days prior to the scheduled departure time.

5.00This was an awesome experience. It was seamless everything ran like clockwork and we were never rushed. The guide/driver Glen was absolutely brilliant and knowledgeable but not to the point where you think please stop talking. He made time for everyone chatting and answering our questions. Glen was brilliant. He got us to our boat on Milford sound perfectly on time giving us clear instructions. He then showed us to our pilot for our return trip. Sad to say good bye! The mini van ride was very comfortable and lunch delicious. Glen even changed my dietary requirements at the last minute because I forgot. Highly recommend this company. Our milford sound coach then boat and fly back to Queenstown was worth every penny! An experience I will always remember!! Thankyou Glen and Cheeky Kiwi Tours!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5.00Joe, our tour guide, was awesome! He really went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. He put his personal touch into it-- brought us rocks to skip on the lake and did a trivia game on the way home! Our scenic flight got canceled and it was no fault of Cheeky Kiwi's, but we appreciated that Joe kept us informed and even attempted to get us on another flight. Also, our refund for the flight was processed before we were even out of the Fiordland. Perfect way to see the beautiful stops along the way to the sound and we got back in record time. 10/10 would do again!!

5.00Our tour to Milford Sound with Danny is one of the highlights of our New Zealand adventures. Danny started our tour with a friendly hello early in the morning. He made sure that all passengers were comfortable and settled and then he invited us to introduce ourselves to each other. This simple process set the tone for a sense of connection and fun during the whole (long) day. Milford Sound was incredible. It was well worth booking this day long tour. The countryside and towns on the trip were intriguing. Danny heightened our experience by sharing his curated soundtrack and even included fun games to meld the group and keep our spirits up. In short, Danny was amazing and sets the standard for future NZ tours. Well done, Danny! We loved it. Betsy and Marty

2.00The flight back part of the experience was cancelled with no notice, the bus driving past the milford sound airfield with no warning, and only when we questioned this were we told the flight was cancelled with no further explanation at any point on the 3 hour return drive. Considering we had seen a flight take off no more than 5 min before our cruise docked, and both the tour guide and cruise guide has highlighted how lucky we were with the great weather, this was both very disappointing and unexplained.

5.00We had booked the coach, cruise, fly tour, with us (me especially) being very excited to jump on a small plane for the scenic flight back to Queenstown. Alas, we had unfortunately picked a very, very rainy day, which meant the flight was cancelled. In every situation there is a positive, and our breaths were absolutely taken away by Milford Sound in full wet weather splendour! Cascading water falls, clouds hugging the cliffs, calm but dark seas. It was simply stunning. The drive to Milford itself was also a feast for the eyes, and we can't thank our guide and driver Jess enough for her expertise, knowledge and care in ensuring our trip ran smoothly, as well as instilling a lot of outstanding NZ knowledge into us! We will absolutely be back, as I definitely want to fly into and out of Milford. But I cannot fault anything with how our day went regardless.

5.00Every part of the day ran on time and was beautifully managed. From pick up to drop off not a hitch. Abby from Cheeky Kiwi is a gem and was a wonderful guide. A small group of 13 in a comfy van, lots of stops and interesting information. Made the journey in easy. Lunchboxes included from Alpine Cafe were delicious. The hand off to Cruise Milford for the cruise of the Sound and later to Glenorchy Air for the flight back, was flawless. Highly recommend!

1.00We booked bus, cruise fly back and they canceled our flight back last minute. Even though the driver asked other people on our bus if they would like to fly back and he booked fly back for them while ours was cancelled with cheeky kiwi. Disappointing experience and we were not planning on a total of 9 hours drive that day.
