Day 2

Dambulla Cave Temple

Sri Dalada Museum

Sri Dalada Maligawa (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී දළදා මාළිගාව) or The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple. The temple which houses the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha is one of the holiest shrines in the entire Buddhist world.

Nuwara Eliya (Little England)

Horton Plains

Horton Plains National Park

Horton Plains National Park is located in 75 minutes drive from Nuwara Eliya City center. You have to walk around 9 km inside the park. Start your journey early morning, that is much better. You can see World's End, mini worlds end, Waterfalls, Animals, birds and etc.

Ella or Yala National Park Safari

Ella

Laid-back Ella draws travelers to Sri Lanka's highlands with its mountain forests, tea plantations, and relatively cool climate. The wildlife-rich region is also home to caves, cascades, and secluded temples—plus the Ella Gap, which offers lofty views between a cleft in two hills.

Yala National Park

There are many different reasons to add Yala National Park to your must-see list: the chance to go on safari and see a wild boar or majestic Sri Lankan leopard, the winding trails, and the fact that in some places the park even touches the Indian Ocean. I chose JD Ceylon Travels for several transportations within Sri Lanka over 2 week time, I prefer to have a private driver to travel at my own freedom. Every time I had an excellent experience, once the itinerary was agreed, JD confirmed each time in advance the car and driver details, with photos and telephone number. Every time I was picked up on time, the cars were clean and comfortable, the drivers were always safe. In particular I appreciated the driver Ishara who took me on 3 different trips. The drivers are not guides as such but each provided some interesting insights and information, made some suggestions along the way, stopped when I wished. For me this was a 5 stars service!

We hired Ishara as our driver to tour Sri Lanka and we were very happy with the service and with him as a person. - The car was impeccable and super comfortable he drove very well and we felt safe. - Ishara gave us lots of recommendations and was very accommodating to our needs. - He accompanied us to the main attractions and explained a lot more about his culture and religion. - He also gave us a taste of a typical sweet that was delicious. - He left us fresh water every day, and was great company and took beautiful pics of us. We loved the trip, we saw a lot of Sri Lanka and had a great time. After the tour, we became friends! We recommend this trip 100%.
The entire trip was well managed. We felt we were travelling with some one whom we know from ages.

We used the second time Sri lanka Nature travel for our private transfer. Sri Lanka Nature travel is really awesome , just in time and everthing is organized perfectly . Visiting Sri Lanka with Sri Lanka Nature Travels was the best decision my family and I made. They made the trip very enjoyable and I did not have to stress on anything during travel.
