What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

The full-day Grand Teton National Park tour will begin close to sunrise to maximize the hours of the day when wildlife is most active. Your naturalist guide will seek out wildlife hotspots, often off the beaten path on unmarked dirt roads in our comfortable 4wheel drive safari vehicles. Make use of our Swarovski spotting scopes and binoculars to view the daily habits of local fauna, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans. After a morning session of uninterrupted wildlife observation, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch, then we’ll continue to explore the natural landscape of the park and if desired by the group, we’ll embark on a short walk, along easy terrain, to observe the smaller wonders of this park. Make sure to pick your expert guide’s brain on topics like animal behavior, animal adaptations, the geology of the area, local botany, and the cultural history of this special place.

We had an 8 hour private ski tour with EcoTours of the northern area of GTNP. Our guide, Mark, was just amazing with his knowledge of the geology of the area and the animals in and around the park. We stopped along the way to see a fox and a coyote. Very cool for us first timers to this area! We drove on to enter the park at the northern entrance by Signal Mountain. From there, we skied for five hours on the park road that is closed to vehicles traffic, but was also groomed for skiing. The views of the Tetons were spectacular. Mark was a perfect blend of offering us insights, answering our questions, and also allowing us to experience the peace and quiet of having the park to ourselves in the winter time. The next day, we did a four hour private tour with Laura, who was equally amazing. Like Mark, she asked us right at the start what we wanted to do and to see. This time, we were more focused on seeing animals, and Laura knew right where to go. With a blend of stopping and viewing from the car as well as while we were on skis, we saw bison, bald eagles, long horned sheep, elk, coyote, moose, and a porcupine hidden in a tree. It was another amazing day. Both Laura and Mark are professional guides who delivered a great experience for me and my wife. Kudos to them and the team at EcoTours for running a great biz!

My family had an amazing day w/ Ryan on our Ecotour through Jackson and Grand Teton National Park. We saw Elk, Bison, moose, bald eagles, mule deer, swan, coyote, big horn sheep and more all through Swarovski binoculars! Ryan was super knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you Ecotours!

Drew was amazing and so knowledgeable. He new where all the hot spots were to see animal sightings! We were lucky to see bald eagles, moose, bison, sheep & deer. I feel that a private 8 hour adventure was perfect because it didn’t feel rushed and it gave us an opportunity for tracking the animals. The views of the Tetons were spectacular and Drew took amazing pictures as well as videos that he shared with us. I would highly recommend taking this tour!
Overwhelmingly a fantastic experience - if you are lucky to have this opportunity do not hesitate!!!

We had the most amazing experience with a full day in Grand Teton. Billy was our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and was amazing at finding and spotting wildlife. We saw moose, bison, black bears, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, osprey, pronghorns, mule deer, grouse, etc. The scenery was stunning. He set up the scope and camera for us so we could watch all the wildlife from an appropriate distance. The luxury of having someone else drive us around, in a perfectly designed car with yummy snacks and coffee made the whole day perfect. I would highly recommend this tour and I can't wait to come back and do it again!

We had an amazing tour! We saw all the wildlife we expected to see and more. Our tour guide, Sarah, was awesome, kind, patient and very knowledgeable. She provided so much detail on the park and all the wildlife. We learned a lot and that made the experience that much more enjoyable. Very professional tour guide and company. Highly recommend them.

We had an amazing experience with Laura from Jackson Hole Ecotour Adventures! She was incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly where to go for the best wildlife sightings — we saw more than we ever expected. Laura made the tour fun and engaging for everyone, especially our kids, who were captivated by her stories and enthusiasm. Her passion for the area and its wildlife really shone through. Our tour guide was with Brandon Smith. Brandon was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell right away he grew up in the area. We were fortunate enough it was just my husband and myself on the tour, perfect celebration for our birthday and 41st anniversary. Beautiful sunrise and right away found Bull moose and mama and calf. We then took some of the most iconic pictures of the Grand Tetons and didn’t take long to find a heard of Elk. While watching them for a while also did a little bird watching. We leisurely took time to take pictures of the sun rising and presenting amazing picture opportunities in front of the Tetons. We found our way to Jenny lake (on my bucket list) and didn’t take long for Brandon to sight bear (s). We had so much fun sighting one bear, wait there is two, no it was a mama with two cubs. He was able to sight then put the camera on to get great videos. They descended down the mountain, into the water played then made their way back up mountain. There was people hiking and someone fishing so mama sent the cubs to the trees. (Get bear spray) Just amazing! We were just 2.5 hours into our day. Brandon taught us so much about the history of the area. He took us to the most popular places, taught us about the vegetation the animals eat. We saw numerous Eagles, water fowl, trout, bison and pronghorns. The day was incredible and we Thank Eco Tour and Brandon, wait I forgot to add we had an delicious lunch where he pulled out the cutest table cloth, with silverware, with beautiful views. We will be back! This is our second tour with Eco Tour and we recommend them as they are very professional, take pride in what they do to meet their customers expectations. They work as a team to find wildlife and then respect each others boundaries.

My Aunt and I had great tours with Karl in the 8 hour Grand Teton Tour and the full day Yellowstone Tour. We were able to see a grizzly bear, moose, bison, mule deer, pronghorns and more. We saw Old Faithful erupt and enjoyed looking at the geothermal pools. Waterfalls along the trip were beyond breathtaking. I highly recommend EcoTours and Karl.
