  • Excellent & Efficient Tour of Alexandria

We truly had an amazing experience. Mahmood was a fantastic tour guide, who not only provided lots of interesting facts, but assisted with our entry to sites & navigation around the city. We booked the Private Alexandria City Tour and were beyond grateful for the consistent source of AC. Him and our driver were very accommodating to any extra stops we were looking to make along the way (McDonalds and some extra hydration), and went ahead and made purchases for us to ensure we weren’t given foreigner prices. We’re truly grateful for this experience and everything we learned along the way.

Sameera was very nice but unfortunately also very expeditious. The visit was supposed to last 7 hours but we barely stayed 4 hours. The explanations were quick, and we barely had 15 minutes of free time at each stop. Pay attention to the option taken, she thought we had to pay for our tickets extra... The driver Ashraf was very kind and helpful, thank you to him!

We had a wonderful experience with Sheri, our tour guide, even though our day started with some frustration. Communication with the tour operator about the meeting point was unclear, which led us to spend an extra 50 minutes searching for our van and crossing a bridge that wasn’t mentioned in the instructions. However, once we met Sheri, everything went smoothly. Sheri’s English was excellent, and she shared just the right amount of historical detail at each site. She helped us avoid the crowds, took great photos for us, and ensured we visited all the highlights efficiently. Despite the initial delay, we completed the tour in 4.5 hours without ever feeling rushed. We opted for the filleted fish lunch for an extra five USD-it was similar to fish and chips without chips but bread, and tasted great. The driver was professional and kept the van cool with strong air conditioning. Overall, we felt very fortunate to have Sheri as our guide. Our family members in another group struggled to understand their male guide’s English and didn’t enjoy their tour as much as we did with Sheri.

Day started off early at 830am on and time. Was greeted by the driver, Ahmed at the lobby to bring me to the first stop where we met up Sheri. Sheri was very knowledgeable and kind. Offering options for food either koshary or seafood. She took me to the fish market, which was delicious. She showed me around describing the history and the stops and significance to Alexandria. And taking helped take my pictures. She brought me to a local shop, where there no hassle/pressure right buy. Which was nice. Ahmed drove us around safely around the city and was on time in picking us up as we finished each stop.

Had an excellent day tour in Alexandria, made special by our fantastic tour guide Muhammed Ramadan. From the moment we sat in the car he began telling all about the surrounding area and its rich history. He expertly took us through the Catacombs, the Citadel, the ‘amphitheater’ and the library (which was closed due to Easter). He was very knowledgeable and passionate, which elevated our experience all the more. We were also able to make small changes to our itinerary (taking lunch early) which really allowed us to enjoy the tour at our own pace. At no point did we feel rushed and he would always stop to show us the optimal photo spots. Overall, it was great tour of an amazing city which has so much to offer.
